Looks like we will have a nice spot with the Purple Reserved #911 again for this go-round to cap the '12 season and a very special and, for me at least, memorable team.
Directions are very very simple. If we are starting from the student entrance/southeast corner of the stadium. Walk down the Left field line of the baseball field. As you pass the left field fence the spot is very near, on your right. The spots are reserved out there, so find 2, see the pattern, and use basic deduction to find us! Papa Fitz will have a 247 banner up(multiple actually) signifying Tailgate. Honestly, if Curtain road would continue through the baseball field, I think the road would pass right through the spot.
We are usually solidly stocked for snacks/food. But as always, if you can bring something, small even, it is always welcomed.
I am getting it out of the way that I will have some extra beer, dont be bashful to request(of age out of respect of course).
Any questions just ask. As usual, it is really nice to put faces to the screen names, and ya never know, Sean or Jeff may just drop you something not yet on the boards (no pressure boys! haha). Seriously though, some good conversation to be had.
Going to the game but not sure when we can leave yet. I'll try to stop pre-game if we make it early enough, otherwise after the game. Hoping for no snow on the ridges for the drive up on Saturday. I was able to get a room for Saturday night at the HI Express on Priceline for a pretty good rate for a football weekend - bit surpised that rooms were available, and even more surprised through Priceline.
And the heater was very much appreciated. Thanks to Seltz, and Sean's dad, and all those that helped put this together. It was fun seeing everyone again. I am so glad that we made the decision to brave the weather, even though I wasn't feeling well, as it was a game I will always remember and treasure the memories. See you all at next year's tailgate. RWC, I hope these guys saved you a brownie.
