Bill with the drive-by handshake. I wouldn't have even done that ! Nice win. We completely dominated them. Just disappointed in McGloin. He looked bad. We need him to rebound.

I love that line....a "drive-by handshake." Hope to see the same sight again next year!

Haha, I don't think O'Brien even broke stride for that handshake.

I was at least hoping for the Harbaugh to Schwartz "handshake"

  • Good game for the boys up there. Some cleaning up to do in terms of MM tossing the ball, but another great outing by the D. Ground game was also very impressive. Mauti just owned the field today....great stuff.

  • He'll probably be back. Football is second fiddle at Illinois, so expectations are generally low. Unless there is some kind of public mutiny by the players he'll (thankfully)be coaching. I bet Nowicki is psyched about all the bowl games he'll get to play in LOL.

  • Good win, defense may be best game played all year. Offense line opening large holes for backs, not many penalites. Probably McGoins worst game but still got the win which is good. Would have liked to have seem Bench in for last 12 minutes, gets good playing time, plus McGoin could have been hurt, question this not happening. Bill should have just waved to Beckman, with one finger. Mauti should be Big 10 Deffensive Player of the Week.

  • Did Jeff or Sean do a live OB press conference thread? I was trying to find post game radio on the internet for at least 45 minutes and couldnt get anything.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

  • I didn't go to the game, Rice will be providing all the coverage.

I'll have some quotes up in a bit, but be warned -- there were about 45 people in a room the size of a garage in the post-game with O'Brien. Audio was less than ideal. Fortunately, we got to talk to the players on the field.

O'Brien's ability to refuse to say anything about Beckman -- even mention the guy's name -- was kind of impressive.

BOB let the play on the field say everything he's keeping inside. Good for him.
