Was that sarcasm about permanent captains? I thought Wisconsin was the last game of the season. What's the point of naming permanent captains for one game? Why upset some senior leaders (those that won't be elected) right before their final game? Either captains or no captain. One game sounds strange. Unless he meant he would already be naming captains for the following year which would be premature. I'm confused by this comment.

I too am very confused as to why he didn't mention SOA. You will notice in his comment about senior leaders he forgot Urschel, but that was because he was name twice as many guys and we already know he has praised Urschel's leadership. However, forgetting SOA (when the secondary is so thin) has me wondering. I know Jeff said he had 2 INT's at practice the other day but sounds like he isn't much on the radar, and that is to my surprise.

We've got to be very mindful of the us against the world mentality. I can see where that can come into play when we go out there to play. You have to play the sport of football with some sort of chip on your shoulder. At the end of the day, these kids want to play football.
Instead of saying it's us against them, let's just play good football and remember that this is more than football. This is helping our community, this is about bringing much more awareness to child abuse. We need to be a part of leading this University through the next three or four years. It's a challenge. We'll have a chip on our shoulder, like every team should, but it's not us against the world. These kids have a chance to go out there and do some special things.

Training camp is awesome. It's a lot of fun. When you were growing up, everybody loved going to camp. You're coming together as a team and bonding. At the night meetings you're doing a lot with your team. Starting on Saturday, you don't have to worry about school for a while, then you're really coming together and concentrating on football. It's a grind but you're coming together. Good teams come together in training camp. It's fun to put the practice schedules together.
