On Morris:

"He's a guy that I really got to know right when I came here. He is a sociable guy and passionate about the game of football. He just wanted to do really well this year. He wanted to go out and help this team win. Just like all of us, he wishes we had more games. Stephon went out there every single day and got better. John Butler did a heck of a job coaching him. I know they have a very close relationship. You just can't say enough about Stephon -- where he's come from, playing some, not playing some. That's not an easy position to play in our defense. You have to come up with big plays and he's done that."

On bringing in new offense and how team exceeded expectations:

"I do have to say they've definitely exceeded my expectations on what we can do offensively and we can still do a lot better. I knew it was a difficult offense to learn -- it's difficult for an NFL rookie or veteran to learn. But man these guys worked -- we've said as a staff, these guys have come a long way since the start of spring practice. It takes hard work and they put the time in. So they've definitely done well to accomplish the things they've accomplished."

On Belton and how he's competing in practice:

"Billy and I have had a lot of conversations over the last month and he's really improved his practice habits quite a bit. You've got a guy there in Zwinak who's gained 100 yards in (three) straight games. It's hard to take Zach out just to play another guy."

On Mauti's injury:

"I don't want to get into the details of Mike's knee injury. He won't play against Wisconsin. As time goes on, I'm sure you'll hear about the details. But I can't comment on that right now."

On Hull:

"He's made some big plays for us on defense and special teams. He was in my office last night talking about football. He's a football dude. He's going to go in there and play as hard as he can, and it's going to be pretty fun to watch him play."

On Mauti helping guys prepare:

"He came and saw me on Sunday. He comes from a great family. Met with him and his parents on Sunday, and it's tough for him. He's just a football guy. It's a very difficult thing for him personally. I've been around that. Iv'e seen Tom Brady have that knee injury. For guys that live and breathe the game like that, it's a very difficult thing. He's been around us in the meetings and at practice. I think that's good in a lot of ways for him. He can help Hull. Little tips can help Mike Hull in this game."

On the community, town:

"I live in a great neighborhood (Boalsburg). I enjoy the neighbors, enjoy the people I work with. I said, what a great place to go to college. I would have had a lot of fun in college here. And what a great place to play football. I love the students. When they started chanting Mauti's name last week, that was pretty powerful. I like a couple restaurants too but I'll get in trouble if I name them."

On getting Bench more reps in practice and where he's at:

"Over the last 3-4 weeks, we've tried to get him a lot more reps. He's done OK. It's not easy to come in as a freshman and learn this offense. Matt had playing experience and is a little older. As an 18-year-old guy it's a different deal. But when Matt graduates, as we sit here right now, Steven is the only quarterback in the program. He's made progress, he's a coach's son, he loves football, he's smart. I think he's got a chance to be a good quarterback here."

How much is he at home to "love" his neighbors? He's been there less than a year. I've lived in my house for 3 years, I enjoy my neighbors, that's about it. They are good people, but really love? He's not going anywhere.
