Ken Frazier

  • Spoke to Ken for 30 minutes today.
    1) "Joe Paterno is a great man"
    2) "The people around Joe failed him." After meeting with Joe the administrator discussed suspected child abuse with an attorney.
    3) Does not expect an acquittal

    Freeh report:
Informed those in charge that they were "abdicating" their responsibility by not scrutinizing the Freeh report before releasing it to the Public.

    Sanctions:
Confirmed Erickson was threatened with the Death Penalty.

    Ken Frazier.
1)A Fighter. The most passionate and intense man I have met, easy to see why he has been successful at every level.
2)Straight shooter. He did not mince words or speak in politically correct terms, the exact opposite.
    3) Extraordinary memory and recall of details. Reminded me of Joe in that Respect.
    3) loves Penn State
    3) Never removed a picture of Joe from his office.
    4) Son was accepted to Penn State and U of Penn. Emphatically advised his son to attend Penn State.
    5) Would love to see him as President of PSU.
    6) Invited me to see his handwritten letters from Joe.

Sounds like spin doctoring to me. He stood side-by-side with Peetz when telling us to move on.

Hahahaa. Pure comedy. Frazier has been a major part of the debacle and now he's apparently goading people to write some revisionist history for him. Did you see the arrogance of Frazier at one of his press conferences? His actions speak so loud I can't hear what he is saying.

Yep,My college coach use to say if you are sitting at a bar and someone starts talking bad about a friend you have two choices. You can walk out or punch the guy in the face. What you don't do is sit there. Ken is still sitting at the bar.

  • I entered into the conversation with sentiments similar to RWC and PSUMichael. After hearing his side of the story from 2 inches away (not exaggerating) I came away with a different perspective. He was extremely passionate about the subject and took 30 minutes away from business to speak with me about PSU. He dismissed 3 of his subordinates who attempted to end our conversation. TFIW

If this is him running for President, pass.

When he shouts at the top of a mountain how wrong he was, How wrong the BOT was and how joe was wronged, I will start to listen. Until then he is a gutless wonder

Not good at all. I can envision a scenario in which PSU loses its suit against the NCAA and Spanier/Curley/Schultz all get convicted in about a month of each other.

The things the Easter Bunny told me today have more credibility:

    1) LionInWinter is the username of an individual with the last name Frazier
    2)Frazier is full of shib
3)Frazier should not show up at Beaver Stadium again
4)Frazier makes up stories about what universities his kid got accepted to
    5)President of PSU? hahahahahahahahah
6)Frazier should taunt Happy Fun Ball

    POV

  • I'm sure he says great stuff about JoePa a year and a half later but all that matters to me is the fact that when push came to shove he sat silent when it mattered most.

I appreciate you sharing a personal experience on the board. Sorry that you are getting downvoted like hell for it, but it seems like Ken is reflecting on this past year and seems like he has learned from the entire situation. I just hope that he can put those words into practice, and get this thing going in the right direction. I hope he's a man of conviction and acts on that impression he made on you tonight.

  • If Ken is such a Joe Paterno fan and so passionate and intense and not politically correct... where was he when they unanimously decided to fire him?

Maybe he's had a change of heart and learned from the entire situation. Maybe he's grown a set of nuts. Maybe he's on the way to making a stand and righting the ship. Maybe he's been working behind the scenes and been diligent in forming a plan, and gaining support. Or maybe he lied to the original poster and just wants to be liked. Who the hell knows, but everyone's blasting the OP for just sharing a positive experience.

I think you're trying to be diplomatic/nice to the OP and that's generous of you. You can stop hoping that Ken Frazier is a man of conviction though....he's already shown that he is not.

I don't believe it will play out like that.

You're worried about Ken Frazier making statements that corroborate his version of the story? One of the primary decision makers who hired Louis Freeh?

The guy who piloted the Vioxx case?

Frazier's going to tell a PSU message board person that he and the BOT were wrong?? Cmon.

Frazier will fry with the rest of them.
