I played Div 1 sport at psu and I take sooo much pride in that. These kids have none of that. Embarrassing these kids were getting a free education.

Leading rusher leaves: its ok.
Leading returning receiver leaves: its ok.
Gotcha. Makes sense. Luckily we do not have a green OL and our QB is an AA. They'll still fear blitzing the hell out of us.

One thing we do know about O'Brien is he is a good X & O guy. Going to have to be real creative with formations. Maybe go empty to take the blitz out of play....Go big to max protect. Unlikely that he'll be able to play straight up and maintain an advantage.

Brown made an absolutely stupid move. Can't fault Haplea or Bolden even though they made uttery perplexing choices as well as far as school.

The problem is that our experienced athletes are gone. I wanted quality experienced athletes to help the HS recruits believe in our new offensive game plan.
Well I know I am not rooting for USC, Cal or Oklahoma this yr and I can't stand the SEC except Bama, so I guess I am rooting for Bama.

I wasn't trying to be a tough guy. I didn't challenge you to a fight or threaten to beat your ass.
Your feelings are hurt. It happens.
Anyways, back to Brown. The more I thinj about this, the more it comes down to he must not like Mac a his QB, or feels he doesn't fit well into what BOB is trying to do. Its one thing if they were a sure fire NC contender lik Redd with USC, but OU isn't.
Also, to whoever said maybe BOB told him shit or get off the pot, that certainly is an interesting thought. I doubt it, butit wouldn't completely shock me.

I dont think sarcasm is the answer here.
Having been only 'ok' on Brown since the recruitment days, I can say he was 'ok' without it being sour grapes, it continues to be my opinion. Leading WR and Leading RB part never bothers me much. This is college football and that is normal turnover. I think Redd is easily the better player and bigger loss, and I say that knowing you can replace RB's pretty quickly overall.
I do know this though, he is a good kid. Speaking with Matty Z's dad last fall and him telling me how JB had really helped take a distraught Zanellato(over finding out he was going to have to take a redshirt), taking him under his wing a bit and helping him move on to working hard everyday, gaining weight, and getting ready for next year(now just days away).
I think that knowing both of these kids are nice young men, who we have watched for a couple of years now, is what bothers me most. Pennsylvania State University just means more to me than them it seems. And I said university not football on purpose there.
And commenting on the end of that, I hope like hell the blitz the hell out of us this year. Would make me happy. O'B will be ready for blitzing teams like we arent quite used to.

I didnt say the OU coaches are scrubs, but weighing pros and cons of JB's transfer imo the pros of transfering dont far outweigh the pros of staying at PSU. Obv I'm not in his head so I think there has to be something non football related driving his decision.
