Penn State will play a pair of night games this year. Oct. 20 trip to Iowa will air at 8 p.m.m while Oct. 27 game with OSU will be at 6 p.m.

Iowa will be interesting. One of those teams we should not have been losing to for years. However, now we've got new (refreshing) coaches and Iowa lost their DC who had confounded our previous coaches. Theoretically, we should beat them soundly. Realistically...well, will be interesting to watch.

Yes it's before Daylight Savings time, sunset is about 6:15pm. It'll be darker than it was for ND a couple years ago by about an hour.

Yes. I loved that start time too minus the unbareable humidity on that day. It's perfect and hopefully it will be perfect weather considering the day of the game and month.

I thought ND was @4:30, plus earlier in the season. It wasn't dark until 2nd half. It'll be dark by 2nd qtr this time. ESPN must have a big PAC 10 game scheduled afterward. Odd start time, but it should make for a great atmosphere.

ND was 6 but it was in September, which in State College means a 10 to 60 degree change in temperature.

The Michigan game in 2008 was the 4:30 start. I think the Oregon State game that year was also an odd start time like 1 or 2:30 or something like that, also.

Say we're both 6-1 or 7-0 - isn't it possible that they push our game back to 8pm if it ends up being a bigger/better matchup than the PAC 10 one they're anticipating (if that is indeed the case)?

I don't recall any confounding going on. Their d-line just physically dominated our o-line in our more recent losses.
