Joe says it wouldn't be fair

  • PSUDE said...

Where does he transfer to.....? Before he was a budding superstar who was not being given a chance to play. Now he has a video resume that speaks for itself. Unless he goes down to 1AA to a so so school, I dont think there are many other opportunities out there for him. Shoot, even KC Keeler probably wouldn't take him at Delaware... I feel bad for him but I don't know if he has many places to transfer to..... we will see at the end of the year. I think a year away from any school might be the best for this kid right now.

Nobody is saying he is going to transfer to USC or Bama. He will most likely go to a MAC school or drop down a division, but he is still going to transfer. He should. The kid needs a clean break and a fresh start, no matter where that ends up being.

Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen

"We're still gonna do it as a rotation. It wouldn't be fair to Bolden for me not to consider him as one of the kids [we play]. He's worked too hard, made too many sacrifices and he's got too much ability for me just because of one football game or two football games to say, 'Hey, we're not counting on you.'

    Talk about guilt.

List of people this is unfair to and I feel sorry for:
McGloin (I do not feel sorry for McGloin because I have met him, to those who haven't met him, you're lucky)
    Bolden
    Redd
    Receivers
    Defense
    Defensive coaches
Big Red (only because he has to listen to Jay all game, poor guy)
    The Students (myself included)
    Anybody who has season tickets

List of people this is fair to:
    Jay

  • When will Joe realize what he isn't being fair to the program by sticking around?? I mean, if Joe is worrying about being fair he could retire and take Jay with him.

  • It surprises me (some) that people arent discussing the later comments regarding the situation, or possible situation

    - We're still going to keep a rotation. It wouldn't be fair to Rob Bolden not to still consider him. He's got to be ready to go, and we'll play him, I'm pretty sure we'll play him. A- We're still going to keep a rotation. It wouldn't be fair to Rob Bolden not to still consider him. He's got to be ready to go, and we'll play him, I'm pretty sure we'll play him. Again we've got this week and next week to get back to some basic things and we'll see what happens.

1)Not to still consider him...regarding being fair.
2)He has to be ready to go...as the backup
    3)we'll play him....if need be
    4)followed by...Im pretty sure we'll play him...non-committal
5)-Again we've got this week and next week to get back to some basic things and we'll see what happens.....again, we'll see what happens, is non-committal to actually playing Rob when it matters unless necessary.

Dont worry, I fully acknowledge part hope regarding 2 and 3 lol. I really cant find justification for sending him out there when it matters, at this point of the season, with all that can be on the line could we continue to pull some things out....

Really? You guys take these comments too far sometimes. The grandma comment is way out of line no matter who you are talking about.

I think it is funny..dont care what you think. Get to the point..do you have any other explanation for Bolden getting playing time when mccloin is healthy?

...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

How about Joe just man up, be honest and say MM is the starter but we will make sure RB is prepared and ready to go if needed? How about cut out the baby "it wouldn't be fair" crap and act/talk like a HC.

You can add every single back up player that doesn't get to play every week to the list. Joe says it;s wouldn't be fair to not play Bolden because he's worked to hard and has too much ability. Are we to assume that means that it's fair to not play every back up because they DON'T work hard and DON'T have enough ability?

That comment is a big slap in the face to every kid on the team that works their butt off and at least has enough ability to earn a scholarship. Bolden gets to suck it up on the field and continue playing JUST because he has potential and has worked hard. Meanwhile, the team is litter with other players JUST LIKE THAT that ride the bench. Joe has officially lost his mind.

  • I can't believe bolden has become bigger than the team to the paternos. It's funny everybody thought McGloin was his favorite a month ago. So maybe it is just something to the press or maybe it's appeasing Jay somehow. Either way if Bolden sees the field it's not fair to the whole team including bolden. Can you imagine the boos that are going to cascade down on him with a packed beaver stadium. They shouldn't do that to him. Now if they develop some packages for him that's another thing but turning over whole series' to him is ridiculous not to mention quarters.

In a thread full of bickering and whining... this was by FAR the best post. And 100% accurate.

Unless Rob doesn't transfer, which is damn near improbable at this point.

Oh no.... people look too much at the name and not the message. Hell, I used to get on FJP alot. Because of some of his posts, but he's had some pretty solid points lately.

Where would he transfer to? There's not a very high demand for pouting QBs with absolutely no pocket awareness that can't complete a 5-yard screen pass.

Hopefully we find someone to take him off our hands so we still don't have to cater to him once Mcgloins gone...PJ and Skylar deserve better.

Why do you even put PJ in the mix at this juncture? You act like he is going to be here next year automatically. When a kid misses two years because of academic reasons, you can't automatically count on him.

  • Seriously..... I've seen more honesty with children re: the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, etc.

All to avoid what?.... hurting someone's feelings?.... grow the f**k up. Do these guys have NFL aspirations? (some do... some don't....) you're not saving them from any experience they won't have in the NFL. If they have any intention of working ANYWHERE.... being told that you suck is a part of life. Deal with it.
