  • Knicks are still the Knicks

Lets not forget Carmelo is about to return and ruin any flow Lin has going. Carmelo is a scorer however a lazy offensive scorer (he typically doesnt work hard on offense, settles for jump shots and doesnt move to get the ball or look to get teammates involved) and him and Amare play as much defense as your local middle school team.

    Knicks are still the Knicks

(Just to clarify I dont think Carmelo is a bad offensive player, he can score with best of them and when he tries hard is dominant on offense)

IMO, this guy is going to be the equal to be like the singer Cory Hart. One year or album wonder. Never to be heard from again.

  • I really hope this ends soon. As a huge 76er fan, I'm starting to get worried.

At the same time, it's a PG in the Knicks system...Raymond Felton had gaudy numbers last year too. I'd also imagine Lin's TOs are very high.

Either way, impressive. If I'm the Knicks, I'm praying Melo is going to keep the flow of the offense going. He's the reason you guys suck so much.

I laughed when that Melo deal was made. Said the Knicks would regret it. The guy is an absolute bum. Denver got the much better end of the deal. Notice, they are better without him.

  • I'm sensing lots of hate in this thread.. Jeremy Lin eats your hate with chopsticks, then he uses it to continue to win games..

He has only played in half the Knicks games and only made four starts ... the bulk of his stats have come in the last six games and the combined record of those last six opponents - a whopping 65-105. NJ is terrible; Washington is worse; Toronto is terrible; Minnesota is under .500; Utah is barely over .500 and the Lakers aren't dominant.

Let's check this out when he starts playing real competition.

I think the hatred is directed toward Carmello and not Lin.

Such a hater.. Your stats of of the teams win loss records are pretty irrelevent, as the Knicks were 8-15 before Lin came along and they are 6-0 with him.. We werent exactly beating weak teams with Melo and Amar'e.. Also win/loss stats are stupid in the NBA because you can make the playoffs with a sub .500 record anyway.. If you hate him, continue to hate..

We use to joke when Carmelo licks his lips in an interview, here comes B.S. Yes, we did get the best deal by sending him to the Knicks...

So, you give me a -1 for using relevant stats of a guy that was only good enough to get in half the Knicks games thus far and start less than 25% of them and the fact he has put up these numbers against only one real team and everyone thinks this guy is all the sudden the next thing? You have a problem.

I want to see what this kid does against Chicago, Philly, OK City and Miami - not Toronto, Washington and New Jersey before I crown him a potentially solid player. Robin Lopez had a solid six games in his pro career in a stretch and he is far from anything good.

I didnt downvote you, it is my belief that there is a bitter Raptor fan lurking downvoting everyone.. I dont think he is the greatest thing in the world.. I think the Knicks are 6-0 since hes been our starting PG and when you are a Knicks fan you take what you can get.. The hype isnt his fault, he plays in NY which is first and foremost a basketball town, and also the largest media market in the nation. I fully expect the Knicks to fall off and find their way back to their hole, but I will ride this wave as far as it will carry me..

Me either, but its the only explanation I can come up with.. Everyone is getting downvoted in this thread.. I upvoted for balance..

  • 30 turnovers in his first 5 starts though. Yikes.

Decision making tendencies are likely to carry over for the rest of the season more so than his RED HOT scoring currently. I would be selling stock right now.

Not a very good analysis at all. You have to look at the opposing PG's on those teams, and how good they are defensively. Devin Harris is arguably the best defensive PG in the league, Deron Williams is the most physical PG in the league, Derek Fisher is as savvy as any PG in the league, and I don't think I have to talk about how tough Ricky Rubio is to defend on that side of the court.

But forgetting all of that, if you watch the team you can see how he has elevated everyone else's game. That is the true mark of an effective PG. But something tells me that you haven't really watched any of the Knicks in the past week.
