I think the Sixers would have jumped at Wright if he was interested. His stock was never higher at that point coming off of the Final Four. The Sixers' brass probably would have done it for the initial attendance boost, if nothing else.
I also think Wright would have been a serious contender for the Kentucky job that same year if he wanted.
