Point to one single factual piece of evidence of a cover up. The only thing that disturbs me of this entire incident is the "cover-up" term. In child abuse cases throughout history you can point to numerous occasions where things in hind sight were handled poorly and should have been uncovered but weren't. What happened to due process for Curley and Schultz.

Your school is forever tarnished. Instead of getting mad at the people reporting what happened you should get mad at the people that actually tarnished your school. Paterno, Curley, etc are the people that looked the other way to allow this to happen. From now on every time that someone sees your resume on the desk and looks at education the first thing they will think about is a man raping a boy in a shower. It's sad, it's a sad end to a very good university and I feel for everyone associated with it, but the fact of the matter is that your universities blind following of Paterno making him out to be a deity for all those years is what allowed this to be covered up in the first place. Could this have happened at Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas, USC, etc....yes it could have, but it didn't. It happened at Penn State. You can continue to hate everyone or you can just accept the fact that your University let you down. And for that letdown they are now going to be crushed and deservedly so.
After reading a lot of the comments by PSU fans all I can say is that I feel bad for half of them but the other half deserve to see their football program burn. Burying your head in the sand is no way to deal with a scandal and half your fan base is dealing with it the exact same way your leadership dealt with it for 10+ years. It's disgusting.

The email that said Sandusky needed to be spoken to. The 2nd email that stated they needed to discuss it first, the 3rd email that stated that he talked it over with Joe and that nothing was going to be done.
If you hear from a graduate assistant coach that stated he clearly saw Sandusky having sex with a young boy in the shower, and you do nothing about it, that is a coverup. Maybe the reason for the coverup was that they knew Sandusky and "wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt", but it's a coverup no less and it's no less disgusting. If I even heard a rumor of one of my employees sexually assaulting children he would be suspended and barred from any contact with our company immediately until a full investigation was completed. At Penn State this did not happen despite multiple rumors, multiple incidents that Joe and others knew about.

This.
Seriously...do you guys really want to see Louis Freeh sitting in open court, day after day, outlining every piece of evidence, all the emails about Paterno, etc., etc.? You really want to see PSU continue to be drug through the mud on a daily basis on the national stage while your little lawsuit plays out?
Go ahead. Continue to wallow in denial. So many around the country already despise the environment at Penn State that enabled this monster. Your lawsuit will only ensure that, rather than rehabilitating Penn State's image, you will continue to be a pariah.

So you say football & Paterno were the problem, and then claim our entire University and education is forever tarnished? How exactly did the football program & Joe effect the quality of our education?
And with the impending de-emphasis on football, the education will remain top notch if not better than before.
