  • Yahoo! Sports' Tom Deinart is reporting that the following have interviewed for the Temple job:

  • hmmmmmm, that's interesting. Would think Vandy might be more likely to get this one. Just can't see Scrap leaving PSU to go to Temple (A Non-BCS qualifier school), he seems to have a better resume than that, JMO. But I have been wrong before.

That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!

  • Really seems like some people in HV are anxious to get out of town. Its almost like they know something we are about to find out ;)

  • Temple would hit a HR with any of the PSU guys or Addazio, whom I think has been unfairly reviled by Florida fans.

  • I just can't believe if our guys are looking that they aren't finding jobs elsewhere.

Kent State, Ball State, Temple ... I would have though these guys would be in good shape at those places. Timing is everything though.

If winning was easy even losers would do it.

  • I think Cignetti is still the name to beat here based on what Ive heard from Temple people. Vandy would have a shot too if interest were mutual. TB...first, Im not sure I believe he formally interviewed. Second, he and Temple are not a fit whatsoever. Cant see that happening.

  • I am not sure if Florida has a new OC or not, but i got a friend at UF who says that everybody hates the guy that was there this year. We possibly saying bye bye to Vandy?

It says a lot more about the situation in SC than it does the situation at Temple. Wow.

  • Can't believe this is happening! With many of our assistant coaches interviewing, it would seem like the rumor about Joepa retiring after the bowl game is actually true.

I hope the team can pull out a victory for Joepa!

  • Is this info legit or not? Assuming it's legit, I'm not sure it's such a bad thing. Apparently someone did take a marker and started writing something on the wall possibly????rumor

  • Anyone shocked that Jay hasn't been contacted by any of these schools? You'd think a guy that coached Robinson and Clark would be the desire of every college program.

  • Hmmm... very interesting. I really hope that Joe doesn't drag this out into next season. Wonder what our current verbals and people we lead for (D. Smith, Deon Barnes) think about these recent events?

Why can't you believe it? Is it because you read some posters on message boards say how awesome our staff is or how its one of the best in the country?

For the record, I don't think our staff is bad, but, I don't believe they are one of the best in the country or even great. Maybe other programs feel the same.

  • This team has been winning in spite of coaching for YEARS! The more that leave the closer we are to change and I can't wait.

Don't forget that he is also responsible of developing Matt McGloin's all-conference moxie.

    The moxie comes naturally, bro.

  • I can't believe it because these guys have done pretty well for themselves. We have had some really good defenses over the years and I think it would be tough to say our LB's haven't been really good either. These guys have lots of coaching experience, seemingly are decent recruiters, are from the general area, and coached under Joe Paterno.

That's what makes it tough for me to believe ... why is it so easy for you to believe?

If winning was easy even losers would do it.
