I think Fera will be back next week personally based on the postgame presser. I wouldn't be too surprised if Ficken kicks next week to still punish Fera, but we see Fera doing kickoffs. That's where we'll see the biggest difference. The more touchbacks the better.

- I thought the placekicking overall wasn't good. You miss a couple of field goals, it makes you think. The competition was close so we gave Ficken a shot. I don't know whether we'll have Fera this week. We'll have them either this week or next week.

I saw him at halftime kicking right in front of me. It wasn't pretty. Anything from 35+ was pulled left.

Just my gut feeling, but I think Fera is back this week.

I actually like our punt coverage. The 1st 4 guys down the field seemed to be Chaz, Willis, Mauti and Hull every time. Im a fan of that. Powell is damn near the size of a LB and the other 3 are fast, sure tacklers.

I watched Ficken kick during pregame warm ups, every attempt he kicked from the 30 yard line on the right hash mark always went wide right. I did not watch him during halftime. Was he kicking from the right or left hash mark? I am wondering if he is having trouble adjusting to the narrower hash marks than he was use to in high school on longer FGs. It look like he had the angle down on closer FGs. Fera is also an unknown as a FG kicker. He struggled with it for the first 2 years on campus but looked much improved during the spring. Joe may also be planning on still punishing Fera for a quarter or half in the Bama game.

Okay, thanks. If Fera doesn't play he will be greatly missed. Obviously we will punt a good number of times so he is much needed there. However, he would also be greatly missed on the kickoff unit (we kick at least once but my hope is it will be 4-5 times) because he is a touch back machine (and that was just as a RS frosh, his percentage would prob be even better this year). Touchbacks are huge against an athletic team like Bama.
