    We keep winning like this I can't imagine we dont get more visitors. And as far as crowds go, this is the most entertaining PSU team since 2005 to me. Save the Illinois game last year and the NW game in 2010 these past four weeks have been so, SO enjoyable and so fulfilling as a fan. Fans need to wake up and start packing this stadium.

    Ok, I'm done RMJing this thread. More Heineken, less posto.

    Stats mean NOTHING. That is my point. Points matter. not stats. I have seen plenty of teams win the "stat battle" and lose on the score board. This team showed a LOT of heart and Mauti is a beast. ZZ is our Offensive MVP and Mauti is our team MVP. Incredible leadership. I bet he went OFF to begin the 4th. The team turned everything around in that quarter. Simply amazing. I love these seniors.

    OK. Stats do mean something! Because it freaking tells you who the better team is. We dominated pretty much the whole game except for the 3rd quarter.

    Like I said, a few speical teams plays and a bad PI call and this game isnt even close!

    Stats mean nothing. I will say it again. I am very happy at the result, but we have a lot to clean up. But we came up HUUUUGE in the 4th. Mark of a champion. But best believe BOB will use this game as ammo to wake this team up in the bye. We will get better. BOB will make this team improve. BOB and the seniors are amazing to me. Love this team.

    the score board tells you who the better team is man. Period. I have seen a lot of teams "out-yardage" other teams and lose. No one cares about that. You have to be able to score inside the 30... period. It's an issue, has been an issue all season, and BOB will continue to harp on it. I bet 100 bucks he says that we left a lot of points on the board in his presser... Because its true!

    Stats do matter. If you hold a team to 200 and change yards that had 700 last week... you're doing pretty good. 40 minutes to 20 in TOP. 30 1st downs to 14. A few plays can change the score of the game but not nearly be indicative of who is dominating the game.

    The best team doesnt always win. See Alabama/LSU last year.

    We dominated Northwestern all day long with a few lapses and a few bad breaks. We are a better team than Northwestern. Northwestern's D was tapping out in the third Quarter. Zwinak really beat the Hell out of them. We are much more physical and it certainly paid dividends in the second half.

  • Out of all this, the thing I'm most surprised hasn't caught on in all the talk after the game is one stat:

    We ran 101 plays. 51 pass, 50 run. That's incredible.

    We should create a thread that only people like new-era, sneaky, and rmj can bitch and moan all game.

    BOB... Could be COY... if we keep winning... We need to turn it up a notch during the bye, with emphasis on special teams... But do the pro style less physical practices for a while... Then turn up the hitting... They will be on the road scouting and recruiting, but we will continue to improve- Im sure of it. This coaching staff and group of seniors are special... Mauti deserves every award that is out there. First team everything. Amazing player. Amazing heart.

    I stand by that we were not dominating at half, but that was total, total 4th quarter dominance. Even when I was disagreeing with the playcalling, it worked. Great job by BO'B, Roof, and most of all, the players.

    Yes they had a bad 3rd qtr... Bad defense, not much offensive movement, but they came back and played with heart.....something you should probably cheer with..

    Im not sure how much you have been around the game of football, but it sure as hell doesnt seem like much...

    And im not a "dumb fan", im a fan that doesnt give up like you:)

  • Who cares about "dominating"? The truth is we have a good team. Northwestern has a good team. We were not vastly superior athletically, which is kind of depressing. Whichever team controlled the pace of play and made the least amount of mistakes was going to win. We made a lot early and they took the lead. We cut down on mistakes and won. It might have been a different result in Evanston. Our coaches made enough adjustments and our players made enough plays against a well-coached team. I'm pretty damn happy about it.

    I've been around it alot. Been aroudn a lot of alcohol today too. This game made me very angry. But in the end, we have gamers on our team. They showed up when it mattered, and we won. Bottom line, we won. Very happy. Except when people tell me stats matter.

    Why the rmj hate on here by people? He is passionate about the Lions, he's not a jerk, doesn't insult people, posts video for recruits, I just can't understand it. He doesn't belong in the same sentence as sneaky.
    I'm not on here all the time so I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something.
