LOL, yea no problem... I don't take things personally as a general rule when it comes to message board disagreements. Even when I come after someone on the board, I try to remember that we're all on the same team around here.... well, that is, except for newera9283479238427 and maybe spulv.

I have no idea if it was intentional, but I'm willing to say no. But even so, it's incredibly stupid if it was unintentional for their marketing dept. to use that picture with the public perception of us currently.
Can anyone who watched that game explain why the kid had his shirt off anyway? Do they keep the gym at 120 degrees or something???

I am not a fan of either school. If I would have seen this I wouldn't have given the JS issue a thought. NOW, that being said, I am sure there are idiots out there in this world who will run with this and think they are a joker or clown and make this situation something I believe it wasn't.
If it is intentional, then this is deplorable. I just dont see it that way

This is as far as I'd be willing to go if I even considered coming off of my position in the slightest.
That said, I think it was an honest attempt to promote the game and try to sell the extra tickets, while, at the same time, continuing to ride the wave of beating IU.

My friend from UI sent me that and said all of her friends from UI are going crazy at how stupid people are for putting that ad out.

I really don't see as much wrong with it as some people do, but clearly a reasonable person doesn't even take the chance that it will be taken the wrong way. Unfortunately, in today's society, we have to teach, talk, advertise and market to the lowest common denominator.... it's just sad.

Because the boy has an "I" on his chest. It is common for people, even kids, to put letters of their team on their chests in support.

not sure how this has any connection to PSU other than tickets are available Is this some secret code from Beckman to the rest of his coaches to fly to State College on the 21st and stalk our players.

The Fighting Illini Ticket Office Chose An Unfortunate Picture To Advertise The Penn State Game

Illinoiss trying to move tickets to its next home game, against the woeful Nittany Lions. That all makes sense.

I understand that there are people who will see it that way, I just disagree that it was intentional and I don't think that WE, as Penn State fans, should go around assuming that this type of thing was intentional. Buckeye here. I saw the article on yahoo about the ad. I'll admit that I laughed and thought right away that it is very distasteful. Without reading the article I didn't know that was Coach Groce or his son. It probably wasn't intentional, but in our "CYA" society someone should have made the connection and never let that ad go to print.
