Doubt he decommits. Waters essentially replaces Paul Jones on our roster (same # of years of eligibility, except Waters still has a RS). And since Hack committed when he knew Jones would be here...

Will he RS? Maybe. Coaches need to decide that once he gets here. I think he might, but you never know.

Don't read into anything more than Waters being Paul Jones's replacement. This doesn't impact Hack in the slightest.

Ultimately, we would Waters/Bench to start next year while Hack uses his RS. If what Ive read elsewhere about Waters is true, we have a huge coup on our hands and I would expect him to earn the start. Then Hack can play sparingly his RS freshman year then have 3 as the outright starter.

Hack's dad wants him to RS while Hack is not sure.

Hopeful it does not cause bench to leave if he can't beat out waters in the spring. That is of course if we get wAters

Hack still hasn't reached XMas of his Sr. year in High School. Lets all wait until he gets here before we figure out what to do with him. Besides a few films I doubt many of us have seen him play all that much so to speculate what he is going to do is a little strange.

It means we have two periods of QB competition.

The Spring will see Bench and Waters compete for the top job heading into summer.

Then fall camp adds Hack and we'll see who the best QB is to lead this team for at least the next two years.

Like any other competition on any other team, there is fallout. Could the loser of this competition leave? Yes. But he could stay too. Lets be excited for a spirited competition. Especially for Blue-White, for the fans. One thing I can assure you of is that Paul Jones won't tease us with one or two unbelievable plays. (Unless you go to the RMU game)

I've already discussed with other posters here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bench transfers if he doesn't win the job coming out of the spring. That means at least his sophomore season on the bench, most likely his junior year, then he has to battle with a great recruit like Hackenburg to get the job his senior year.

Are there any possibilities of any QB's walking onto PSU like McGloin? Just wondering...
