Hoops In-Game Thread -- Minnesota

Tipoff is at 3 p.m. on BTN.
Something to watch for today -- what Ross Travis, a Minnesota native, is able to do not only on the boards against one of the Big Ten's top rebounding teams, but how Penn State is able to run some offense through him in the low post as it did against Michigan, which created opportunities for Sasa, Newbill and Marshall.
Gophers coming off a big upset win over Indiana on Tuesday and need another win to bolster their NCAA tournament chances.

Julian Welch had 83 points in 27 games coming in ... he has five on the first two possessions after getting the start on Senior Night.
Lions having trouble getting clean looks against strong Gopher man-to-man.

Story of the season for Penn State -- Marshall picks up two fouls in about 20 seconds and will have to go to the bench. Taylor checks in and Andre Ingram, another seldom-used senior, hits a baseline jumper.

Gophers doing a good job of beating double-teams with cross-court passing and making Lions pay.
Lions settling for jumpers too often so far. Even though Minny is a good shot-blocking team, ya gotta go to the basket.

I love his midrange game, but he rushes that three so much. Travis also worries me when he shoots threes. They just rush so much.
