Henry Poggi

Apparently his older brother went to Duke and was coached by Bill O'Brien and Ted Roof. Poggi plans on visiting PSU per his brother's recommendation about those coaches.
Thought it was nice to read, especially since I didn't believe he had any more than minimal interest in us.
Quotes:
"He said they're real good guys, especially Coach Roof and Coach O'Brien," Henry said. "He said they really care about you as a player and as a person. They're just cool guys to play for."
The coaches mean so much that Henry has reason to believe the recently hired staff can survive the scandal that was uncovered last fall and is still being investigated.
"Penn State has just an unbelievable football tradition," Henry said. "Obviously, the whole scandal, it's definitely been rocked. I think the coaches they hired are great coaches and I think they'll get them back on the right track."

Interesting and great to hear as it looks like Munger is no longer in play.....I have seen comments that haven't exactly endorsed the father, Biff........is the only gripe with him that he may sometimes embellish what types of offers his Gilman kids may have?

Thats the rumor... But he hasn't really said as much and I know he talks to Douglas, so I am somewhat hopeful...

I agree. I don't think it helps us at all, but I wont buy the no one but OSU talk til I hear it from him or his actions obviously reflect it.

Highlights attached below... Poggi is def. athletic for a big man... But he needs to get MUCH stronger. He is constantly stood up at the point of attack, but he has pretty good hand usage and can get away to make plays. But he needs to eat a lot more and go hard in the weight room. Fitzy could probably work some magic here though. Gah I love my S & C coach lol

Good point... They have been really hush hush about Syrac-abused... I wonder how much pub it will get during their run in the NCAA's... It would only be fair to give Boeheim some questions along the way. Does anyone know when Fine's trial will start or if he will be charged? Statute of limitations issue maybe? I haven't been following it, because many "news" sources refuse to report it...

As a Maryland fan am just happy Mike Locksley is back. So atleast we have some type of defense vs Larry Johnson Sr. in the last 6 years it was getting out of hand. psu is going tohave a real battle now from Maryland. FOr Dc, Maryland kids.
