Instead of quibbling over stupid details you could actually address the content of the article this thread is about? Do you actually condone that type of narrative representing a professional OSU web presence? Please let us hear how it is ok to attack a parent of a recruit or use sophomoric and ill informed attacks on a fellow university and publish it as an article on your site? I cannot wait to hear this...

You guys didn't even finish above .500. Penn State was 10x more distracted than Ohio State when they met in the Shoe and they still mopped the floor with your Buckeyes. Penn State is the better football team. That is a fact.
Now either get back on topic and answer CZ148's post or go away.

You had a few distractions? I'd say firing a legendary coach amidst a sexual child abuse case would qualify as having a few distractions as well. Quit making excuses cause your team couldn't stop a terrible offense that relied on the wildcat to gain yards or that your "amazing" QB can barely complete a pass. 20-14 6-7

i hope this guy continues to write for ohio state site. Why not? Im sure he will be loved by the crazy fans at osu, but everyone else sees this guy as a obsesive & disgruntled fan who cant separate his personal feelings from reporting. keep it up. love your subjective feelings about top recruits & their families.

I am a proud buckeye fan and to tell u the truth, I rarely read this guys columns that he posts on the site. He was out of line in many aspects and I am really tired of hearing people on bucknuts talking about Sandusky and blaming all of penn state. But, I do have some things I would like to point out.

1. Anzalones father was out of line for blaming the coaching staff for the convicted sex offender when Alex was on an unofficial visit to a spring game of 81 thousand

2. I love Columbus, and I have no problem with him boosting about the city where my college is.

3. There are always going to be a group of fans who stand out and have no moral standard. I visited penn state for the game in 07 against us. Wonderful experience for the most part, met some great fans who were welcoming, and met some that were trying to fight just because I was from ohio. That was the same year a buckeye fan had full beers thrown at him and his head cracked open at a frat house by penn state students. There r always immature fans who have no regard for what the consequence is. OSU has them and so does all schools. But just a couple dumb posts on website with a few thousand readers doesn't represent a whole fan base

4. I feel bad for you guys because of the Sandusky thing, and hopefully Obrien can be successful there. The stronger you guys are , the stronger the conference is.

5. I was a big time hater of Urban before heading to ohio state. Not really for any reason but that he destroyed us in the NC. But once he has arrived in cbus, he has done all the right things. More access for the fans, kicking players off the team for breaking rules, etc. I know there was plenty of arrests at florida, some maybe because of the coaching staff, but u can't always blame coaches for crap players do on there own time. He is going to have a short leash with players at osu, and u can trust me it's that.

6. Our team last year was awful on offense, and not really even that good on defense. So your win last year, to tell u the truth, isn't too remarkable. Should be a good game at your place this yr.

6. Is wrong. You had a good defense last year (ranked 24th)... not great, but good enough for sure. Also, the game was in C-Bus and we were dealing with something absolutely wretched. And we had a HC in his 2nd game ever. And we had less talent. And you had your playmaker back. And we had Moxie McGloin.

I just don't know why OSU fans think they are going to just flip a switch this year and dominate. I think you will be very, very good... in 2013. Next year = growing pains.
