Has anyone heard what Madden said about 2nd Mile?

  • Pimping out kids to 2nd mile donors? Guys, if this is in fact true, it's the end of PSU football as we know it. It will almost kill the university as a whole. I would imagine the FBI will get involved. I can't believe what is going on. I would never wish something like this on anybody.

    There is another thread already, and no it would not be the end of PSU considering that it has nothing to do with PSU...it refers to "2nd mile" donors

    And I would think the GJ would have found this earlier and included it in the report, so no I do not believe this...

    The worst kind of reporting possible, he said other journalists are investigating this... he has no proof, nothing to go on but a supposed rumor. He may even get sued for libel for it. This guys getting his 2 seconds of fame at PSU's expense.

    Please refer to it as The Second Mile...there is another organization named the 2nd mile

    The Second Mile is not connected with Penn State....if this is true then it will be a travesty unlike anything I've ever heard before but it does not directly affect PSU, and especially PSU football.

    You may be right, but unfortunately the media does not give an EFF about facts. They will shout the story & it will reverberate through the echo chamber & someone will report it is fact. I already saw this on Yahoo reported as "(Penn State) donors". Penn State was in parantheses, meaning the author inserted it. No mention of second mile donors. And the comments below the article are some of the most vile, ignorant, hate filled words I have ever read. If this is proven false, Madden better go into hiding far away from PA. .

    I pray for the sake of any potential victims this isn't true.

    Madden goes with things that he has no proof on. He throws it out there and lets it fly. I can't believe we haven't heard of any slander suits against him with his continuous amount of fabricated rumors. That said, at this point - nothing would totally shock me with the way this has played out.

    I googled 2nd mile, it's a christian organization that seems to be doing good work. Their home page has a disclaimer that they are not affiliated with The Second Mile and the Penn State scandal. The collateral damage is getting worse, it's a nightmare and I can't wake up.
