Anxious to see how well Hach performs at Elite 11.

We've had some highly rated quarterbacks come in the program with Newsome, Bolden, Morelli, Jones, and Devlin to name a few. However, we didn't have BOB. Instead, we had the quarterback killer in Jay Paterno. The only quarterbacks that had success, did it despite the coaching. They relied on their athletic abilities and intangibles, Clark and Robinson to name those. We have a real quarterback coach, and a head coach that has coached the best in Brady. Moving forward, the quarterback won't be a weakness. It will be a great strength. I can't wait to see how BOB develops the talented Hackenberg.

The 2006 class was the first time I followed recruiting in depth... Devlin was good but not Hack level ranked... Newsome was a runner.... Bolden was close but played in a run first offense and Jones was "raw"....

Hack is a rare kid for PSU

Anyone know if any of our recruits/targets intend to enroll early? Can't wait for the day when this special Class steps foot on campus in Happy Valley.

Recruiting rankings are not a science, but PSU wasn't the only big program to offer those guys. I'm not going to look up their offer lists, but I'm sure they were highly recruited. Jay never developed a quarterback. He didn't have the skill set to do that. Nor did he have the skills to recruit. He didn't do a whole lot.

Without BOB, Hackenberg isn't committed. With Jay as quarterback coach, there is no Hackenberg.

Fellow Illinois Lion, our only commit set to enroll early is Douglas. For future reference when you look at the commits or prospects page the little stop watch next to the name means early enrollee.
