Hackenberg 'can't wait' to sign

I didnt exclude them, and mentioned the entire class first.

Mahon and Sickels are a huge a part of this very special class. But Hack was our first commit though and he's easily the face of the class. The AB signing had more traffic on this site than its ever had before or since if I remember correctly.

Every guy that committed to PSU deserves a ton of credit for having the courage to step into the situation they did though. That was my point, not that one was more important than the other.

And when Hack was saying he may visit and people were freaking out, it was Mahon and Sickels that called him. When rumors came up that AB might visit OSU, same thing. And when a rumor came out that Michigan was interested in Mahon he rushed out to say he never talked to any other staff after he committed.

Sorry they aren't QBs or from PA. Those two have been the rocks of this class. So no, I don't agree with you at all when you say it "starts with Hack and AB".

  • This recruiting class is special in so many ways. First class totally recruited by OBrien and that fact that they stuck it out even after the sanctions came down. These are kids that really want to be at Penn State. Kids with character, loyalty, or and yes some talent too!

so what you are saying is that hack and AB are not part of the "stones" of this Class. Ok. have a good one.

Nope I quoted exactly what I disagreed with.

    Have a terrible day.

    Haha no need for that.

Look, the thread was about hack. I gave him some love because i really respect the amount of courage it took for him to:

    1. Be the first commit of the class.
    2. Stick with us while being assaulted by national pundits for choosing us while being the number one rated quarterback in the country. the amount of media exposure he had made him a constant target to people to why he would pick this place. No one else including Mahon had to deal with it to nearly that extent.

You know this though your just working on me. You never even mentioned Curtis Cothran who also never wavered.

I added Ab because they are practically tied at the waist.

There is nothing you're going to tell me about Mahon that i don't already know and agree with. I don't know if you're picking on me or its fat guy syndrome. But the fat guys never get the credit, its why there are 40 articles on hack to every mention of Mahon. That's not my fault, its life.

Don't get all emotional, i didn't leave then out on purpose just like you probably didn't leave Cothran out on purpose.

    Have a good one.

  • Joe Montana was asked if he was the top HS QB coming out of HS right now where would he go. He didnt flat out say it but they were talking about offenses:

He talked about the type of offense you would want to play in:
"If you want to throw the ball, you want more traditional style, you get into the Penn State's, USC..."

Who wouldve thought we'd hear "throwing the ball" and "Penn State" in the same sentence.

Nice to see one of the greatest QBs ever bring up PSU as his first option he would look at because of the offense. However, I do see our offense evolving with a more mobile QB like Hack or Bench, probably involving some more QB run plays and the read option (which Bench ran in the UVA game).

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino
