How about we build depth for a long term run. Anyone who thinks we make a run this year or next is crazy. WE have a completely new OL, Secondary and many other issues. We are not Wisconsin from last year that was short one player, we are short about 5-10. Getting DOB gets us maybe 8 wins these two years. USe the time to develop someone. DOB will just take game a practice time from someone who will be here when we might have a chance to make a run.

Don't like it at all, we are not in the same situation as Wisconsin last year and DOB is not Wilson who was very good all three years at NCST.

There have been some doozies on this board, but this one might take the cake. There is a reason why O'Brien regressed at UMD. It's called a change of system. It's called Edsall. Friedgen's system, which he thrived under, is closer to BOB's than Edsall.

Build depth in the long run? With who? McGloin? Bolden? Jones? The first two suck. You don't build depth with bad QBs who haven't had any success against decent teams. Jones, while a major wildcard, can't be trusted at this juncture due to his academic standing.

O'Brien was brought in here to win games. Danny gives PSU the best chance to win games. I'm sure BOB ran to the bathroom once he put the film in on McGloin and Bolden.

Who is DOB taking time away from? McGloin? He is gone after this year - so no biggie. Bolden has two more years to go and I have little faith in him being able to become a starter in that time. Jones? He is eligible now ... he might not be in September. Hackenberg? He will probably redshirt and then have four years as a starter. Bench? He probably redshirts this year and then can be the second or third QB in two years.

You need a sense of reality. What you are saying ... you are fine with a four or five win season. You really didn't watch a PSU game last year did you?
