Reading about the Vioxxx case, Merck supposedly had a doctor's hitlist "We may need to seek them out and destroy them where they live," wrote an employee.
"The email, which came out in the Federal Court in Melbourne yesterday as part of a class action against the drug company, included the words "neutralise", "neutralised" or "discredit" against some of the doctors' names.
It is also alleged the company used intimidation tactics against critical researchers, including dropping hints it would stop funding to institutions and claims it interfered with academic appointments."

Sorry, but I simply can't get excited about this letter. Telling me about problems that are as clear as the nose on my face does nothing for me. What are you as a BOT Member proposing be done about these problems?
Actions speak louder than words Mr Meyers and to date the only action the board of trustees has taken has been to smear a good man's name, torpedo a football program steeped in academic success and service to society, and deflect blame from where it belongs.
Until I see real action by our BOT, I.E. a vote on accepting/declining the consent decree, I will assume that this letter is nothing more than the "move forward" agenda packaged in a more palatable format for the PSU Masses.
