an upgrade at punter would huge. buttersworth was inconsistent all season. at least ficken showed he could battle back the second half of the season..

Is there a Rutgers barometer for this one? I can see it now..."why in the world would anyone want to walk-on at that school? If he were smart he'd realize that we are about to be the annual B1G champs and playing in a BCS bowl regularly. Plus our academics are as good if not better than the best of the ivies."

Like I said in a previous thread and others have said the same here and elsewhere, this is the biggest run-on that we'll get this year. 4 years of a capable and talented kicker--who can also punt--while under scholarship restrictions will be such a huge bonus for this staff. That's 1-2 extra scholarships that Gulla opens up for versatile DL, OL, DB, etc. Or maybe even room for a 4th scholarship QB? Awesome get. And agree with everyone on the sentiments towards Rutgers.

That punter is huge and I have no punter scouting background, but he's clearly far too slow getting his kicks off in that video. Not that we won't get better, but man he looks like he's thinking about quantum physics before he even moves after taking the simulated snap. Nevertheless, he's 6'7" 240 so leg strength is certainly a plus. Good for the State University of N.J.

Punter should be trying to get their kick off in 1.25 to 1.5 seconds if I remember correctly. Can't remember if that was from the catch or the snap. I was never that fast and HS was a long time ago..... Either way, this guy needs to speed up a lot if he ever wants to get one away.

Yep he's supposedly coming to snap but I haven't actually talked to him.
