Too bad he will get tossed to the wolves as an enabler now. Joe did mess up, but most know that the guy was not some evil troll out there and had great intentions most of his life.

  • Pinkle isn't far off. This whole Sandusky situation has turned into a Joe witch hunt. Freeh, the media and people in general seem to have it in their head that Joe Paterno is the main person at fault in all of this. It's crazy.

Because he's the one who instilled moral integrity in all of us. Joe's the one that made us believe he was above all else based on his track record of doing things the right way. When you're at a iconic level like that and something as big as this occurs, you fall as hard and as far as you possibly can, even if you aren't on this earth to realize it.

I beg to differ. My parents and family are responsible for my morals, not some guy I never met.

if anything, out of this situation i have learned one big lesson....don't be so quick to judge people on what you hear or read. For all you know the guy could have been coming home from a family function where he had 2-3 beers and got stopped at a checkpoint. With the legal limit so low, i bet each and every one of you have driven "drunk" by law in the past week!

along with my father, agree. Penn Staters have always thought we were just a little bit above everyone else, morally, ethically....and that was becasue of Joe, the way he carried himself, ran his program, and demanded academic excellence.

My original statement was a bit out of context. I meant to say Joe is the one who made us believe he has high moral integrity....you and I'm sure many others are in the same boat. But then you have the group of people who will bow down and do anything for him and his family regardless of all of this crap going on.

At least it wasn't Bobby Petrino who wrote it.
