That said, considering how the PSU administration has handled everything since the scandal broke, the one thing they got right was O'Brien. I have little to no faith our administration will do the right thing here.

Keep in mind he did all that for PSU's benefit. What else was he supposed to do? It was his job to hold the program/team together and he did a great job doing that. Bill O'Brien is in a great position, he has god-like status in Happy Valley (for now) and 7 teams are looking for a head coach...that's a lot of competition. I really don't think O'Brien takes any job, he's got a good thing at PSU, he will take the offer if its just right. PSU's problem is that O'Brien's agent is telling him his stock may never be higher and 7 teams is a lot of teams...competition could drive the offer sheet up and increases the likelihood of can't pass deal.

It's a bush league move. He looks like a phony. I don't know how else you can perceive it.
