Last time I checked it was a free country. Other than being an alum, I have no connection w/ PSU. If I wanna tweet a kid and tell him he should go to PSU the NCAA can kiss my ass. They can't regulate free speech, hell they can't even regulate their own member schools!

In this day and age it's so difficult to keep every means of communication under wraps. Recruits/fans, etc. find a way to communicate. It's just the way this world works.

You're right cause only kids use twitter but telling someone to grow up on a message aboard devoted to following 18-24 years olds in very mature!

People can do what they want, I'm just telling you, it's being watched and watched closely. For crying out loud, it's a violation to chant a kid's name and make signs at a basketball game. You don't think it's a violation to directly contact kids and interact with them on twitter? It's a fine line folks, I suggest you tread lightly.

Nothing like overzealous fans stalking a kid on twitter. What a joke. The NCAA has rules in place and as crazy as some of them are, they are rules. In the last week we have seen a former teammate at Trotwood-M High congratulate a former high school teammate on his decision to chose Michigan and its a violation.

Stop the tweets to recruits. It's a bit childish when you really get down to it. Why tweet someone you don't know to begin with?

I don't tweet or even browse twitter for that matter, but I agree that it's a fine line that you bring up.

A good release Baylor put out on the subject earlier this week.

I guess I can agree with o$u for once we do have some ahole psu fans. Psu has no reason to give NCAA a reason to bring psu in the news.

This site is not a direct line of communication to a kid. Tweeting is. I can tell you will never get it.

I am not on Twitter, but isn't this exactly why it was invented?
