BUT.................is he still on the football team??

would be really nice to see him at safety.....imo this is an area of need for us. as much as you want to root for astorino he,s just not the caliber player that we need him to be. he is too undersized.

Going to be pretty touch to move Malcolm Willis out of the safety position. Even as a Freshman he showed All Big 10 potential, and Newsome wouldn't play FS IMO. He's too big.

I agree that Astorino is undersized for our SS position (Hero), but I think he's fine for Free Safety. Never understood why he got moved to SS.

We also have Nik Sukay coming back next season, and he was doing pretty good at FS before getting hurt. I'd like to see a combination of Willis, Sukay, and Drew (only at FS) next season.

We also have SOA coming up.

I always thought he'd be an interesting prospect at receiver, with his size, and initial explosion - and QBs generally have good ball skills.

As would I. I don't think he really "fits" at any other position. Too big to be a DB, too small to be a traditional TE. Flex-TE/H-Back would be perfect for him IMO.
