For all the people who say the defense lost the game

  • They gave up 30 points to Houston. There is nothing wrong with that. Yes, the gave up a ton of yards, but in the end 3 TD's and 3 FGs isn't that bad against this kind of team. 17 of those points were in the first quarter. It's kind of hard to make adjustments when the offense is giving you a big 3 plays and a punt to make them. I'm not saying the defense played good or even okay, but we lost this game because the offense sucks.

  • The whole team lost including the coaching staff. What was evident is the players had no heart or passion to play. Qb sub par wr dropping passes. Ol was a joke. Here's to a fresh start that hopefully will lead to players and fans caring about the bowl

    Against D1 competition, we averaged 16.3 ppg. Not far off at all from what we did today (ie, atrocious). We gave up an average of 17.5 ppg; not terrible, the D had a very solid year. But not today. We were within a couple points of the average on O, and nearly doubled it on D. I'm no mathematician, but it sure seems like our O played about as poorly as we would expect and the D played much, much worse than we could have expected.

  • I kind've agree but then I think about the two long TD passes and say, yea, the defense was pretty bad today

  • The coaching lost us this game more than anything. As evident as it was that the players were not playing for anything. Our overall defensive schemes, and offensive position coaching were our downfall. We don't disguise our coverages, or ever rush more than 5. We play our corners 7 yards off the line against a WEST COAST offense. Our defensive backs broke off their coverages, and our D Line failed to create any pass rush. We all know how awful our offensive gameplay was, so to go into that would just take too much time. In a game that meant a lot to some of us, they played uninspired football, and resigned themselves and the rest of us to defeat before they even got to Dallas.
