I get the feeling he will make a quick and agile tackle. With his current weight and it likely that he will gain another 10-15 through workouts I can see him holding his own and rotating time this year. Love the fact he was given his 6th year to shore up skills at OT.

Very excited about that news and his potential. Think he will make more of an impact on OT than TE. He looks so athletic at 297 it is scary, another 15-20 lbs and it should get interesting.
Probably bad comps but I keep thinking Dorian Johnson upside type ceiling and Tyron Smith the bar.

So it looks like we'll have Gress, Shrive and Gilliam battling it out at RT in spring ball. Should be interesting. I have a feeling Gilliam will win the battle.

The 2013 top offensive tackles (Fisher and Joeckel) are in the 6'6", 310# range. Fisher also started his career as a TE at Central Michigan as well I believe.

The thing I am interested in seeing, with these TE to OL transitions...they typically seem to have some issues anchoring...I wonder how Gilliam will do at that.
