EXACTLY! They can call us Pedophile State, Creepy Valley, and do everything short of pissing on JoePa's grave but he'll still go over and kiss ass to the sPitters. Seems like someone who just doesn't have alot of friends. And please don't give me this "they never did anything to me" crap. They are our PSU's one true rival and that alone is enough to justify hating them. Any true PSU fan would know that.

I never said I hated Phila. I think he can be funny, but some of his posts make me question his sports iq. I think sometimes he lets passion get in the way of common sense. Never said I hated him though.

Please don't give me the "I have to hate them because other people do" crap. They're a rival that we haven't played in a decade. They're irrelevant to us until we start playing them again. The only thing we compete over are recruits, and those have been relatively few and far between lately. In my mind, you shouldn't consider yourself a rival with somebody if a) you never win, or b) you don't play them regularly.

I've never met a Pitt fan, or one who roots for them over PSU, who wasn't a student. The students I met were nice, and didn't give me any grief. I don't have anything else to base things off of, so I don't have anything against Pitt.

I'm a PSU fan. I don't see how which team I hate and don't hate outside of my school has any effect on my fanship.

Fitz has never been anything but classy, especially in regards to PSU, and for somebody to freak out over something that happens pretty often (Ohio players did the same thing) in college football. I highly doubt a coach the caliber of Fitzgerald would care about pissing off the fans when he's in the middle of a very intense and competitive football game. To classify him as classless is a joke.

For someone to think that Pitt fans are respectful towards Penn State makes it pretty obvious that you are clueless.

Jesus, some people are sensitive. FWIW I don't think that poster you're referring to was meaning to offend, OU fans aren't known for being the brightest crayons in the box.

If somebody else from another fanbase came on here and criticized Phila I would come to bat and defend him. However every family has fights or arguments within. Just because we're all PSU fans doesn't mean that we all have to say and think the same things.

I remember that post vaguely. I shouldn't have provoked them. But when that douche to a shot at not only DJ but my kids ( I have a 3 year old son and a 1 year old son). That sent me over the top. I am also from Pittsburgh and know exactly how they are. Hell I even have cousins and uncles who went to Pitt. The family members aren't bad but the other clowns. SMDH!

I wonder what our dear friend at USA Today, Christine Brennan, thinks about yesterdays game?

2 things come to mind reading this thread:

1.) I have read multiple people here and on other sites complaining about Fitz's behavior to our fans. Yet, not one of these people had the foresight to read into their pocket and take a video of this travesty? If it was as atrocious as some people are making it out to be, by all means folks, get it on film!

2.) sounds like his actions helped us get the west stands into the game. If Fitz wants his players to help get the PSU crowd fired up (especially since they did it while their offense was on the field), that's not classless, that's just stupid.

TBH I thought the assistants doing it was a little strange, but I don't agree with it being Fitz's plan and egging them all on. Fitz was trying to win the football game, and doing what they were doing wasn't doing anything to help them.
