And what was the deal with him standing 10yds out onto the field after Robinson was interfered with, for a couple of plays. It looked like he was trying to intimidate the refs

Pat Fitzgerald made faces at the crowd? Well then that settles it, he's about as classless as they come. What an unthinkable and despicable thing to do.

I just know he was hugging like half of our players right after the game.

There was no shouting match. O'Brien addressed this in the post-game presser and said that there was nothing to it. So with that out of the way, I guess we are down to Fitzgerald and the coaching staff making faces at the crowd and additionally somehow mocking them. Emmert and the NCAA better step in and give Northwestern the death penalty for that. Completely unacceptable.

There most certainly was a shouting match. When the psu player was down hurt, O'brien took the opportunity to ream out the ref about the horrendous pass interference call. Fitz went after the ref and then BoB about him doing so. And it wasn't making faces... he actually encouraged his assistant coaches and players on the sidelines to continuously mock and taunt the fans behind the bench through the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. You'd think that they would have other things to do like... idk, say try not to lose the game?
