I'm the same way. Forgot a few obvious ones like tOSU, Michigan, and Dook.

There are a lot of great lists here, and as I can plainly see, the only thing in common is PSU....duhhhhh
    As for teams I despise....
NFL - Cleveland (If it's Brown, FLUSH it, Cicncinnati and Oakland/LA/Oakland, Dallas

MLB - Yankees, George Steinbrenner era, Phijjies, though it's not the same since they realigned

    NHL - Rangers and Capitals

NBA - Lakers, the arrogance of that organization irritates me

Nascar - Tony Stewart, just something about him that irks me

CFB = Mishitagain, S(P)hitt, that place in Columbus

CBB - Kentucky...they just don;t seem like they are playing by the same rules

  • Teams I dislike:
Apathetic towards MLB since the Pirates have been an AAAA farm team. Was nice to see Phillies win though.
MLB: Atlanta Braves since the early 90s.
NFL: Cowboys, Patriots, Bengals, Browns, Ravens.
NHL: Ottawa, hate Chris Neal. Capitals. New Jersey, their neutral zone trap killed hockey in the late 90s.
    NBA: No team sticks out
    CFB: Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Nebraska
CBB: UConn, Florida State, UC Santa Barbara- those damn banana slugs, jk
Soccer: Mexico National Team, Italian National Team

  • NFL - Steelers. Grew up with Bradshaw, Franco, and Lambert
MLB - Yankees WPIX every Friday night with Scooter, Messer, and Bill White
    NHL - still a sport?
NBA - Spurs. Moved to SAT in the late 90s. Love Coach Pop and the way he does business.
BPL - ManU Rooney is the man.

  • Sorry guys, little late to the party, I didn't have internet this weekend visiting family so just trying to catch up!

NFL- Steelers -(grew up in western and central PA)
MLB- Pirates and Indians (first memories are of the pirates, including Sid bream; Indians were good growing up)
NBA- Lakers (Kobe and Shaq fan since I was little)...still remember the trade that brought Kobe to the Lakers
    NHL- Penguins (see Steelers)
College Basketball- Duke (started following college ball with Shane Battier)
NASCAR- Jimmie Johnson (was a Mark Martin fan, until he was the Viagra car...Jimmie was a young driver and liked how aggressive he was then)
Soccer (Club Team)- Inter Milan (mom's side of the family is northern Italian)
Rugby (English english premiership rugby) - Harlequins (started following Rugby about 2 years ago)

Born and raised in the 'Burgh but I've really cooled on the Steelers over the years. When I was a soph. at PSU the Steelers made their amazing run to the SB in 2005, I was as big a steeler fan as I was a PSU fan at that point. ('05 was a great sports year :)

I'm not sure why I've become apathetic, I just simply lost emotion more and more each game. I realized I was no longer a steeler fan during the superbowl against the cardinals.. when Larry Fitz caught that long TD and my friends were throwing stuff, I was still grinning cause PSU hoops knocked off Michigan St.

    Anyway.. my teams:

NFL- any team with PSU grads MLB- BUCCOS bigtime NHL- Pens (altho embarassed at their actions on sunday) NBA- Oklahoma City

Feel the same way about the Steelers and the NFL in general. I think my passion for PSU football just leaves no room for the Steelers anymore.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino
