Grew up as a South Central PA kid . . .

NFL: Steelers
MLB: Phillies
NBA: Mavericks (I am a fan of Dirk)
NHL: sorry, hockey doesn't do a lot for me
CFB: PSU
CBB: Uconn & UNC

MLB: Cleveland Indians (Only team that I hold above PSU in terms of winning a championship)
NFL: Cleveland Browns
NHL: Boston Bruins
CBB: Duke Blue Devils
NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers

By the way if you think you hate OSU fans. Try going to college in Ohio for 4 years ... Brutal.

NFL: 49ers - Mom liked Joe Montana and told me to root for the Red team when I was a wee lad, and it stuck
NBA: None, dont watch even a little
NHL: Pens/Sabres/Flyers I will root for - Buddy in college from Buffalo made me a fan. Barnaby was a tool, but fun to watch and Dominique in goal was special. Mario was my first favorite player really for the Pens
MLB- Phillies - Schmidt started it all. Cubs would fall in second(boy is that a tough one) as I had WGN growing up and loved Ryne Sandberg

I think some of my friends (including my wife, who is a Packers fan) root for Buffalo teams somewhat out of pity. Of course, several of my recent friends are Lions fans, so...yeah. Kind of in the same boat.

Bayern: Lived their 3 years.

Blues: Started watching the Atlanta Flames as a kid on TBS and when they went to Calgary I started listening to the Blues on KMOX and then followed them on the old ugly sat dish.

All Tampa pro teams as well since I lived in Central Florida while I was in the military and again got Buccaneer games as a kid.

NFL: Eagles

NBA: Don't care...the NBA blows...

NHL: Flyers

MLB: Phillies

College: Penn State (obviously), Villanova and Duke. I know this is pro sports, but I wanted to list college as well.

Soccer: Real Madrid and Liverpool

Mlb - Arizona - my next door neighbor moved to Arizona the year the Dbacks were formed. I was still pretty young and thought the logo looked cool and have been a fan ever since.

NHL - penguins- mom is from Pittsburgh and even though she's not a big sports fan, she does keep up with the penguins.

Nfl - couldn't care less. When I was little I was a Dolphins fan. I gave up on the NFL a long time ago though.

NBA - I said I couldn't care less about the NFL, multiply that by 3. I'm not even going to pretend to like a team.

Golf - tiger and choi

Soccer - my friend and I have always cheered for Australia in the WC, so when I decided I was going to start following soccer I went with my favorite players team, Tim Cahill and Everton.

Cfb- PSU
Cbb- Cincy Bearcats, PSU
Soccer- Manchester United
Nfl- 49ers
MLB- Phillies
Nba- Celtics
NHL- Blackhawks.

And teams I wouldn't root for even if they were playing North Korea in hopscotch.
Osu, ND, Yankees, Steelers, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Syracuse basketball.

Indeed, another good question.

One thing my wife always kids me about is the fact that no matter what game I turn on, I find someone to root for (or against), for whatever reason. If I don't have a reason beforehand, then I figure one out.

NFL: Patriots
MLB: Yankees
NHL: Senators
NBA: Heat

There's plenty more that I dislike, but it tends to depend on who they're playing.

Born and raised in the 'Burgh but I've really cooled on the Steelers over the years. When I was a soph. at PSU the Steelers made their amazing run to the SB in 2005, I was as big a steeler fan as I was a PSU fan at that point. ('05 was a great sports year :)

I'm not sure why I've become apathetic, I just simply lost emotion more and more each game. I realized I was no longer a steeler fan during the superbowl against the cardinals.. when Larry Fitz caught that long TD and my friends were throwing stuff, I was still grinning cause PSU hoops knocked off Michigan St.

Anyway.. my teams:

NFL- any team with PSU grads
MLB- BUCCOS bigtime
NHL- Pens (altho embarassed at their actions on sunday)
NBA- Oklahoma City
