FC: Is the BTN intentionally snubbing us ?

  • Maybe it's just me but I used to watch the BTN all the time . They had alot of PSU content. Ever since the S went down we are (IMO) personna non grata on the BTN...just curious if anyone else feels the same ? It's fairly blatant.

  • right now they are doing "school days." ex. today they are featuring Indiana and tomorrow Iowa

    BTN will be featuring PSU games on 6/20, 7/11, and 8/2

    Not saying they've stooped that low intentionally, but I've seen at least 5 replays each of an OSU game and a Michigan game without seeing a PSU replay. My dad and I have both noticed it.

  • Yes every couple of weeks I look out to the end of my guide. The only psu games I've seen are 99 minny an 08 Iowa.

    I never turn it on anymore. It will be interesting they are doing school days over the next month. I could see we get all basketball and other sports. It's complete bs

  • You can bet money that a PSU game with Sandusky on the sidelines will likely never be shown again on the BTN. If it is, they will likely edit out any reference to him.

    Yes. Everyone is out to get PSU. I hear networks wont even televise our games this year.

    Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen

    If you want to be really pissed, wait till you see our scheduled opponent in the Big10 - Pac12 opponent. I'm hearing (from a Pac12 source), that we're not going to be very happy.

    My personal favorite BTN programming in the in the past weeks:

    UM/OSU 1958, 2005 (and a few others)
    UM/OSU Basketball
    Bo Schembeckler special.
    Purdue / Central Michigan replay
    Mich State/Mich
    Wisconsin, Indiana, and who knows who...a few times
    Barry Alvarez hero special

    Penn State broadcasts. Both between 12-5AM:
    1. PSU / UM wrestling 2010.
    2. John Cappelletti special.

    These are the only 2 PSU related broadcasts between ~ May 27 and June 10th.

    Considering that these games are a few years away yet, that's pretty pathetic but I wouldn't doubt it to be true. There's no denying that the football program will be treated like they are on a death penalty.

    I hope its Colorado, so I would have an excuse to visit. Wazzu could be successful if Leach gets full reign, his system against Pac-12 defenses should be pretty high flying.

    UCLA would be a good one too, but I have no interest in USC.

  • I have checked BTN for the past 3 months and still have yet to see a PSU game except PSU/Minnesota form 99 (which is torture). I e-mailed them asking about this and never received a response. Some classy organization the BTN is.

    An easy fix is to just never watch the BTN.

    I pass it all the time on the way between ESPN and the Golf Channel, and I always see OSU replays. Since I hate watching OSU play and don't want to give them ratings, I don't watch the BTN.

    Simple.
