To clear up some misconceptions about Evan's issue, I chatted with him before the game on Saturday. He was hospitalized for about a week in early March with bloot clots in his lungs and in his calf. There is/was no hamstring issue, but he was put on blood thinners and is making a pretty steady recovery. He's obviously been out of action all spring and, though he says he'll be back for the fall, his status is ultimately dependent on his recovery. I'm not quite the medical type, so I don't have a timetable as to when he should return. I would imagine it's on a case to case basis.

Seems like a great kid. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery! We Are
I had blood clots in my leg and have been put on blood thinner three years ago. He could possibly be on it for the rest of his life.
Very dangerous. These things can turn into emboli and lodge elsewhere causing grave damage to the sufferer. What a rotten break for Evan.
