Early Rutgers Barometer...

This was always one of my favorite features on FOS...thought I'd throw together a quick view of comments from free sites (wish they had a 247 site today).
"WTF"
"Speechless"
"What a disaster"
"If he leaves this program a week before LOI Day with the best class ever, I will lose all respect I ever had for the man."
"Would be career suicide for Schiano"
"Please please don't let this be true."
"We just lost the entire class."
"This is all the Conference's fault."
"I'm trying to relax but I can't."
"Could he be taking this job before LOI Day as a favor to the recruits? He doesn't expect them to commit if he's not? What a backhanded way to treat the place that built you."
Many also think that OC Frank Cignetti should be named HC as quickly as possible.

This makes me feel good. Does that make me a bad person? Maybe. It will be nice to see somebody else in "panic" "scramble" mode. Plus, I like the idea of us dominating NJ in the years ahead.

My favorite quote is "Would be career suicide for Schiano." Yeah, leaving a perennial 7-5 Big East team for an NFL head coaching job is career suicide.

Cignetti is grossly overrated. The best thing for PSU is if he is the coach.

I definitely used to enjoy this feature when I paid over at FOS. It's always interesting to see the responses when things like this happen. I can only imagine what other Scout sites thought of PSU when the Sandusky situation broke, when Joe was fired, O'Brien was hired, and now Joe's passing. There was plenty of mixed emotions all across the board with all four of those events.

And this is why Joe always told recruits you commit to a University and not a coach. It's hard for 17 year old kids to wrap their heads around this as you don't expect grown men to lie and bail on you,,,,but they do time and time again. It's not always their fault as they get the axe as well, but to the kids that turned their backs on PSU this year....LISTEN to the MESSAGE of all of these former lettermen for PSU have been stating the last few days.
