Moving stuff. This is a kid who should be a household name for PSU fans, not just for what he has overcome but for what he meant to this program in it's darkest hour. Hard to say I've rooted for anyone to succeed more than I'm rooting for Jamil.

Kids got a lot of class and comes with a lot of maturity as a result of all the tragedies he's faced in his short life. Gonna be a force to be reckoned with in a couple of years IMO

We got ourselves a great young man in the 2012 class. As a matter of fact, I think very highly of every single kid we have coming in from the 2012 class. What a story.

Nah. I was just wondering if it was the first time you guys heard this story. I remember when I first did... I was like that explains why his grades slipped... I dunno, I was just wondering bc some of the reactions were like mine the first time I read it...

This kid has already been through so much, and seems to learn from his many experiences. Driven is probably as accurate a description as you can give him right now. I think his focus will aid him greatly at the next level. Tough to not route for the young man. Proud to have him wear the Blue and White

What is it about Penn State that attracts kids like this...high character, selfless and dedicated individual? They (Jamil included) make me so proud to be a Penn Stater. I am so glad he chose to play for the Lions.

Wow, I had a tear in my eye by the time I finished that. I hadn't known about his mom not talking to him and the sacrifices he made to bring his grades back up. I hope he's at Life for Life and I hope I get to shake his hand and thank him for choosing to stick with us.
