Does he have a case?

  • Mike has to be hoping that Penn State settles this just to make it go away. If this goes to court I do not see how he has a case. He was paid the remainder of his contract along with a severance package, the exact same thing that the other coaches that were not retained received. He was not treated any different based on his involvement with the Sandusky scandal.

  • His reputation is ruined because of his actions, not Penn State's.

I don't think he has much to stand on here. He can use the whistle blower thing all he wants. PSU didn't ruin his coaching career. He wouldn't have been retained for starters because even if Sandusky thing never happened; Joe wouldn't have been the coach this year and new coach, whether it have been BOB or someone else would have brought in their guy. He sort of ruined his coaching career himself. He didn't go to the police himself; he has told many different versions of the events and has a few other things going on.

He forgets ... he wasn't terminated. Isn't he still getting paid for doing nothing?

Now there is a million dollar question, if the November nightmare didn't happen, Joe retired, who would be the next coach? Scrap? Would Scrap have retained McQueary?

I can say with 200% certainty that it wasn't going to be scrap.

That cat is prowling the sidelines in Columbus. I know what he said, and I know what the media said...but I trust what I was told. Lock, stock and barrell, ole Urbz was going to be on our sideline.

  • What a crock of crap.

F the NCAA F the BOT F ESPN F Sandusky

  • If PSU was eager to shell out $60 million to the NCAA without any semblance of due process, then I have no doubt it will look upon Mike's $4 million lawsuit as a bargain. I mean why take a chance that any truth comes out when you can just pay people off to keep their mouths shut?

This. Urban Meyer was set to be the next coach. After all I've seen, I'm glad he's not.
