umm, no I'm not. I addressed that DOB wasn't afraid of either of their physical tools and then expanded by saying its dumb to suggest that even if he was afraid of their physical abilities it wouldn't matter and wouldn't be a reason to not choose PSU and I states why. I'm sorry that you are unable to follow along, however, om bot autobuses.

If DOB had come, there would have been FIVE scholarship QB's on the roster. Based on past performance, it is likely but not a sure thing he would have won the job. Since it is an entirely new system to ALL of them, THREE would have gotten a headstart on him, one of whom is a complete wild card. Plus BOB was hired because of his "success" as a QB coach. I think it is safe to assume all of our current QB's will improve under his supervision.

Was competition THE reason DOB didn't choose us? I don't know but to completely discount it as a contributing factor seems silly. After all some of the same guys guaranteeing DOB would start are the same ones who guaranteed Switzer would be a Nittany Lion.

He's not saying scared off by the fact that they are all-americans. Simply that they are guys who have solid skills and with a new coach, they may be able to develop and give him a run for playing time. Simple as that. Not a hard concept to grasp. He see's Wisky's depth chart, which is non-existent, and PSU where they have 3 guys who have all been there at least 2 seasons.

When I was thinking DOB was coming to PSU, here is what I was worried about:
1) BOB told DOB he'd be #1, and that gave PJ/MM/RB less incentive for spring practice.
2) MM/PJ/RB got coached up and played well, but job would be handed to DOB.
3) DOB would have only fall practice to learn the PSU offense, at anything near game speed.

Scouting sevices get things wrong all the time. But PJ was a 5* QB. Lets see what happens.

I know what he said and myself along with many others disagree. If DOB came here the job would've been handed to him by BOB. Theres a reason BOB went hard after DOB and its not because he likes what he saw at the QB position here. Not a hard concept to grasp.

Totally agree.. Danny saw a weak supporting cast and got the hell out of town right after he returned his PSU coat he had on. I think we are in trouble this year. Danny came to practice to see it with his own eyes. No way he was intimidated by our shitty qb's. Congrats on starting week one Mr Bench.

If BOB was going after him because it was THAT clear to him, he (BOB) would have guarenteed the starting job too. But he didn't. I wonder why.

Hahaha, you actually think the job wouldn't be given to DOB if he came. That's rich. If DOB came the job was him barring something crazy in camp. Same with Wisky.

I can't wait until DOB's mid-way through his mediocre season at Wisky and everyone is blaming it on the "system" and pointing to the one decent game he had against Utah State -- and projecting it as if every game would have been like that at Penn State.

If he was eligible at the end of the fall semester, the staff knows exactly what he has to do during the spring semester to stay eligible. I would suspect that he is on track to maintain eligibility if he's practicing.

Does anyone know if a kid can lose eligibility during summer school, since they can't gain it during the summer?
