Hope he enjoys playing against Army, Navy, Air Force, and The Citadel every year.

On a serious note, who would want to play for Kelly on national t.v.?? All he does is scream his head off and make his players look foolish on the sidelines. Not the type of guy I'd want to play for.......week after week he's throwing guys under the bus.

Or he could like playing against OU, Texas, USC, Stanford, Michigan, Michigan St., and Miami. Hopefully we get 2 more CB's although most are saying 1 more.

    What an absurd statement.

Tony Dungy, Lorenzo Romar. Two of the most respected coaches in their sport, NEVER yell or cuss. Larry Johnson, one of the most respected DL coaches in America. Doesn't yell/cuss at his kids. I've NEVER seen Nick Saban or Les Miles loose their cool on the side line. I have no doubt they give it to their kids, but they know better than to do it in on National TV. If you follow soccer, pay attention to Sir Alex Ferguson. He will NEVER attack one of his own players in public, and almost never says a bad word about them to the press. He keeps it all behind doors. He's considered the best man manager in the biggest sport of the world.

Coaching is about winning the respect of your players, not their fear. There are obviously many ways to win that respect. I don't think Chip Kelly's manner is a very good one, JMO though.

You've never seen Saban go off? Come on man, watch a few BAMA games or google it.

It sounds like his mother moved from Florida to Ohio. I think he had originally been committed to FSU, but don't quote me on that.

Yes, she lives in Ohio now. He's with her and she has tweeted that he's not going anywhere. Will be back at practice next Wednesday. He has said he doesn't like the weather, but nothing he can do about it. He's on fast track to three and done. A transfer would not help his draft status at all. He's also "engaged" to some girl in FL.

So y'all are looking at 6-7 this year?

    That should be fun.

If they go 6-7, Kelly is gone and many of those kids will be as well.

I easily could see a 7-6 type of season in South Bend, which would put Kelly on the hot seat.

Not happening. Wish as you might, but BK is safe this year.

    Personally I hope he stays.

You can probably tell, but I don't respect BK as a coach at all.

They're looking at getting blown out by USC and most likely OU as well, with losses almost guaranteed at MSU and UM and Stanford. Navy is no pushover, especially for a defense as bad as theirs. Miami will be improved from last year, so that games a toss up.

I see a maximum of 8 losses, with a minimum of 5. Either way, Kelly won't be around too much longer unless they stop scheduling all these competitive teams.

Why is MSU, UM, and Stanford almost guaranteed L? USC and OU yes, the other three are toss-ups. What's PSU's schedule look like this year? Please post.

@ Virginia, Ohio, Navy + Big 10 to include @ Nebraska, vs. Ohio State, vs. Wisconsin, @ Iowa, and @ Illinois. All of those teams ranging from decent to d*mn good. Temple won't be a pushover either.

Our schedule is pretty soft, actually.

    We're looking at 8-4, maybe 7-5.

Illinois blows and I don't think Iowa will be good.

No RBs and lost their best receiver.

Illinois won't be bad. They always have good athletes, and Iowa will be good defensively. I'm not saying they're toss up games, but they're not cream puffs either. They'll be solid football teams.

To be honest, our schedule is weak because we have no elite teams on our schedule, but we don't have any weak teams on it either. Not even the usual MAC teams, because Temple, Ohio, and Navy are all reasonable teams this year. It's possibly that @UVa will be our easiest game of the bunch, which is odd to think about.

I say UM and MSU are guaranteed losses because both teams have better coaches and both have better defenses. Y'all might beat MSU, but I doubt it if their UTenn transfer gets his waiver, because the pass defense was pathetic and doesn't look to get much better. UM is just a better team with a better coach. The team we saw play VT was miles beyond the team that beat y'all early in the season. I say Stanford because they have a pretty good QB waiting to take over for Luck (obviously not as good, but still solid), and I like Shaw a lot as a coach. They're losing pieces on their OL, but they will still be a pretty solid team, something I don't think ND will be.

    Please post.

Zook left them with an empty cupboard at WR (they've had to start practicing multiple DBs on the two deep there to get enoguh bodies), and on defense. Their best coaches (DC) are gone. Solid RB and QB, their line fell apart last year though. Anf theyre really turning their systems upside down. I think Beckman will help them out, but they just arent as talented, with a few really solid players, like they have been in the past.

I hope I don't hear a PSU fan talking about easy a$$ schedules for a long time. 3 OOC games should be W's although UVA is getting better. Don't know what they return this year, so that most likely is 3 W's. Illinois sucks, Iowa isn't impressive again, Wisconsin will be tough, at Nebraska I'd say a L, tOSU who knows how they fair. Temple don't know much about who they lost. Do know they gave you a scare last year. No UM/MSU works out nicely. Couldn't give you an honest prediction without knowing more about each team.

Shame, I thought star was a decent poster. Guess not.

Sorry just getting back over here. I'll answer this later tonight. Some of your comments regarding MSU/UM are lol. Really don't see Stanford going away like most seem to think. Will put more thought into this. Let's leave the playground crap to the HS's.

I see you with 6 or 7 wins this year. Your schedule is harder and you have more questions. Not worried though to be honest. A six or seven win season puts Kelly in trouble. He might not be there for the start of these kid's redshirt freshman season.

Sorry, was looking for a fight earlier.

Neither do I, which is why I don't think y'all will beat them. We'll have to wait and see with UM I guess, but I'd have to think another year with that staff can only help. I'm not sure who they lost on defense, but they still have some very nice pieces on offense that will give any staff headaches. MSU, I like D'Antonio a lot, and think he'll find enough answers to get the job done next year.

I'm biased because I'm not sold on BK being an elite coach, but I stand by the 6-7 comment I made earlier.
