Yeah, being in the big ten has done so much for the University the last few weeks..
the big ten has been so supportive.
We got the big Ten who hates bad press, and jumps to conclusions before any facts are known and starts degrading a legendary coach. We got a big ten who did nothing to help THEIR conference by making sure a worthy team got into a better bowl, which generates more revenue for the conference. Basically we got the big ten who offered nothing in terms of support for the innocent people (students, faculty, football players, coaches) who did nothing wrong.
yes, i'm so proud to be part of the big ten, because they do so much for my university.

Ernie, do you disagree with the issue of voting after the 1994 season? Just wondering. It's still the only non-champion team ever mentioned in lists of the best teams of all time but wasn't even considered the best in the country by the opposing coaches who saw it in person. Kind of strange, no?

I am not saying that it is the Big Ten's fault, but that Delaney should be defending our innocent players instead of hanging them out to dry. Therefore, I don't believe he is doing his job. He should be defending innocent players caught up in this mess, and not the ones violating rules.

No, I would wait for facts to come out that those coaches are morally complicit, just like I did with JT last year. I was defending him until the day he amitted lying to the NCAA, because I had heard a lot stories about how he was a great human being. Thats called the benefit of the doubt, something the coaches you named have earned, but according to you Joe Paterno hasn't.

Tell you what, why don't you reread the comments and try to figure out why we aren't happy with the Big 10, mostly Jim Delaney. It's not hard. I know its hard for many OSU fans and grads to put two and two together. Let me know when you need the remedial version, a third-grade version as to why we aren't happy and I can provide one for you. Hopefully, you have the mindset to figure it out. Jim Delaney didn't do his job, but OSU was very thankful its butt buddy, Delaney, did his job before the Arkansas game last year - otherwise, you get your as*es kicked in by the Razorbacks.

First, what OSU went through and what PSU is going through is completely different. Second, how do you know Jim did not do his job? Do you have proof or is this just opinion? Third, Delany is just about out the door. I highly doubt Penn State conspiracy theories put out by some will simply stop at that point.
On your boards I have read the red headed step child theory, the refs are always out to get you theory, we denied you a national championship theory, the programming schedule on BTN is aligned against you theory, the conference will not go to 16 teams because of Michigan and Ohio State theory, and we took Nebraska because they are in the Midwest theory. These are just a small sample from the daily threads that occupy your boards so I'm sure there is a ton more of how the conference is out to get you. A conference whose leadership is empowered by the consent of all the universities.
We have grown to be the richest, most powerful and successful conference in America and yet that is not good enough for some. I never want Penn State to leave but this type of talk just gets old. It is toxic and false for the most part and when you really may have a gripe to bitch about some may not give it the time of day because you cried wolf too many times.

Yeah- its the Big Ten's fault what is going on at Penn State. How dare you get slighted in a meaningless bowl game because sponsors are hesitant to come near you.

First - yes, totally different scandals. I'm not naive about that.
Second - OSU's butt buddy was their for them to arrange a deal with the NCAA for the five players who were ineligible to be allowed to play against Arkansas in the bCS Bowl. He knew if said players didn't play, his program in the Big 10 would have gotten bitch slapped by Arkansas in a BCS Bowl game. That is why he stepped in. It was out there for the public to see. It's not opinion. Delaney didn't politic for PSU in this instance. He just didn't care. This isn't theory, its fact.
I really don't give a damn what a Michigan State fan thinks about this board. If you don't like the attitude, or tone, don't come back. It's pretty simple. We, as fans, DON'T like your conference - well, the majority of the fans. The Big is only about two schools and always has been - the clowns in Columbus and Ann Arbor. I'm sure your board has many things for us to laugh about too.
Again, don't like the board, leave. It's rather simple.

The sponsors will be the ones that ultimately suffer. 99.9% of the public wouldn't know, nor care, if we played in their bowl game. However, the largest dues paying alumni association in existance now knows that we were passed over by the Insight, Gator, and Meineke Bowl sponsors. What person who has nothing to do with Penn State would choose not to bring their car to Meineke for service because a few months earlier Penn State played in their bowl game? Maybe 12 kooks. But a fanbase of this size has a far longer and more meaningful memory. Dumb move by these three bowls from a business sense, no two ways around it.

It is what it is. These companies probably have PR people who need a reason to justify their existence. Time will solve this problem. Get a big time head coach and get back to being Penn State.
...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

If you dont like the conference that is a fair point. However basing that on false conspiracy theories is not fair. At the end of the day Penn State needs to do what is in the best interests of the university. So on that basis alone your dreams of moving to the ACC will never happen and if it did I'm sure Pitt would be more than happy to take your place.
