The Lions' Pride

It will get worse- probably much worse- and we are going to be the target for many as the games, seasons, and years go by. We will not get the close calls in conference plays. We will not get the benefit of the doubt in close games. We will not be allowed to enjoy the happiness that comes from trophies, college gameday, or national respect. We will not be getting a lot of the things that we enjoyed as a program previously. People will take their shots while they can, while we are handcuffed and meant to be chained to the bottom of the conference. Their kicks will be fierce, and they will come often. There will be no mercy shown, the coaches will have no reservations about stealing wins. Fanbases will be absolutely brutal with their barbs and jokes, and they will look to permanently keep us in a place we were not able to be kept previously. These hardships are tough, and they are very real. They will not go away, and they will not be lightened as time passes.

However, I can say this, we will be back. We will be back with a vengeance. Do not let yourselves believe that O'Brien doesn't take these slights as personally as the PSU nation does. Do not let yourselves believe that these kind of screwjobs don't piss off O'Brien as much as they do the PSU nation. We will come back and we will remember, everything. Every doubter, every analyst and coach, who ever said we wouldn't be back, and did their best to make sure we won't be. We will make those mother fuckers choke on their words. We will crush them with our passion, our belief, and our resolve. Nobody can hold back PSU nation forever. Not a program, not a governing body, not an analyst, nobody.

We will be back, and we will win. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. We are, and always will be, Penn State. Remember these moments, and let them forever be the fire in our bellies as we make our way back to the top.
