Well that theory work on 4-5 other college coaches that have rumored too...Jan 3 or 4 nobody who it is...is rumors.

I hope not. Although he has had our number over the yrs.
And yes he is a PA native. Graduated from Upper Saint Clair Hs, in Pittsburgh.

Too much money for too little production on the field IMHO. Still wouldn't be a bad hire though.

There isn't a more overpaid coach in the country IMO. The guy is a 7 or 8 win coach with an occasional 10 win season. People complain about Richt or Stoops not winning enough but they run circles around Ferentz. This would in now way be a home run hire. Plus he would be docked a win a year because he can't play PSU.

I don't think he's coming but the guy IS in Iowa. Not exactly a hotbed of football talent. He's a solid coach.

Oklahoma, Georgia, and Iowa.
One of those doesn't fit with the others.

I would not touch Ferentz with a ten foot pole at this point in time. The "pharmacy" at Iowa had ALOT to do with his success building those kids into mosters. He dosent light it up on the recruiting trail, and "development" was always his schtick. How that development was acheived has always been supect. I feel that since the incident last spring, things have been cleaned up a little, and I expect to see a slow decline in the success of Ferentz and Iowa over the next few seasons...
