Nice tribute but I think he realizes all the heat he's catching from PSU fans in the state and trying to cover his a$$. I still think people are downplaying the role that Corbett had in this whole thing.

He threw the dirt on Joe 's grave & then plants the lowered flag in it & you say classy??
Cannot disagree more strongly.
The guy investigated the Sandusky scandal, got Joe Pa fired on the B of T.
He is a member of the BofT. He is not going to get my vote.
He was on the BofT when the scandal was addressed in May by the Board counsel., yet he said nothing.
Now he says, Joe's legacy in the state is secure. & lowers the flag?
Not exactly the type of statements you would say (as a prosecutor) if you thought JoePa did something wrong.
Hypocrit.

I voted Corbett in there.... worst vote I have ever placed. The guy is guilty as hell in this, but he pushed everything off onto PSU. Screw him.

No surprise here...he was under a lot of fire for how the state handled their support or lack thereof for JoePa, so this was the right move without question.

I'm still not sure how some people cannot realize that he is just as guilty. His stalling of this case for 3 years while he ran for Governor is just as bad a decision as everyone else involved in this thing. Will not get my vote again.

I realize where some of you stand regarding the Governor and to be frank with you, I'm right there with you. I was simply trying to point out that he opted to have the flags at half staff to honor Joe for all the good he has done, even though we all know Corbett had a hand in the fall of JoePa. Personally, I view this as an act of desperation on Corbett's part to try and "win over" the PSU community after what happened the last few months. He knows his future resides in our hands and he will be a one term Governor.

I agree. Act of desperation. But the Hail Mary pass falls to the ground. No catch. No TD. No win. When time comes, Corbett will be remembered by all of us for his actions. By the time his term ends, he better hope he has a gig lined up elsewhere b/c he will be a one-term governor. Nice job Governor.
