    Can you elaborate? ESPN (I assume a group of producers) was made aware of a molestation allegation, complete with a recorded conversation, and did nothing.
    Paterno was made aware of "inappropriate touching" and immediately reported it to his superiors.
    There is certainly a similarity and in my opinion, one is clearly worse.

    Bingo. The "scandals" are somewhat different. I love Dickie V comparing JB and Paterno, no poop it's not the same. Try comparing ESPN and Paterno. That's our problem here not that ESPN talked about the Sandudky case that they hung Paterno on a moral obligation based on less facts then we have on their own moral wrongs.

    Also you could make a much easier line to Boheim hearing about said tape then you can about Joe hearing about '98 investigation. I'm not saying Joe didn't know or Jim knew but it's amazing the difference in which ESPN has handled tge two stories.

  • I'm pretty sure that life requires every situation to have some differences, particularly in the details. No case is ever going to be the same, but the fact is that principles do remain the same. ESPN hypocritically attacked Joe for breaking a principle that in the end, they broke themselves regarding a relatively similar situation.
