My take on Anzalone is pretty simple. He's a great athlete, but a very raw LB prospect at this point in his development. If we manage to land him I'll be happy to have him, but if we don't it won't be a devastating blow. I think we sit well w/a number of LB prospects that are on the same level as Anzalone. Benton, Issah, Newby, and Brown at OLB all immediately come to mind. I think the biggest reason why we need to continue to recruit him hard is because of his perceived ranking as an in state prospect. We need to do a better job landing top in state prospects than the previous staff did over the last decade plus.
