dreading a "harbaugh bowl"?? Im rooting for the ravens but am dreading the news coverage... we will now jim and john's social security numbers by the time super bowl sunday rolls around.
Success without honor is an unseasoned dish; it will satisfy your hunger, but it won't taste good.
Media will always find something to talk about. If it's not the Harbaugh thing, then "SportScience" will be analyzing the pressure points of Tom Brady's mouthguard and if he clenches his teeth harder on longer pass plays vs. screen plays.
I'm cancelling cable tomorrow, and I don't visit ESPN, so I don't really care either way.
Harbowl coming up.
I'm not rooting for the Ravens as I'm a Steelers fan. And I certainly am dreading hearin about a "Harbowl".
im an eagles fan so as long as its not dallas or giants im fine... I am getting sick of the pats though
Since I don't frequent eSPiN anymore, I don't care what they talk about for the next couple weeks. Just glad Bili-cheat won't get a chance to use his home video recorder again.
And I feel pretty good about typing that out as the ravens just caught what should be a game clinching pick!
And as a Cowboy, glad the giants' mini-run is over...no need to worry about the eagles. The skins may be on the rise however.
...not sure who you are, but I know who WE ARE...
I'd rather have that than hear more about Tom Brady and joe Montana and the patriots dynasty, etc.
Been hearing about it forever so a new storyline is welcomed.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.
Worst Super Bowl ever.
I actually think this will be a good game...two tough defenses banging it out. I guess it all depends on what kind of football you like. And, quite honestly, I think both offenses are underrated.
Don't forget we get to hear ad nauseum about Ray Lewis retiring and going out in glory at the super bowl. The great player that he is, the asset to the community, blah, blah, blah. No mention of accessory to murder.
I'm dreading two more weeks of Ray Lewis nonsense. The Harbaughs are a tad easier to handle.
All the more sweet when Bowman makes him look old.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Yeah it would've been better with sissy Brady and the Pats in there again.
Rather hear about Lewis than the genius of Bili-cheat. Besides, the media will ALWAYS find some sappy story to fawn over before big games and such.
Not to mention, his wife is a model. Did you know his wife is model? Like a famous model, who walks with clothes on! OMG
Just thinking about that bs makes me even happier we don't have to endure that.
Yea, this Ray Lewis stuff is not for me. Dude is glorified simply cause he can ball and avoided time in the clink. He's just a couple notches above OJ in my eyes.
Probably would have been 100% more UGG's in New Orleans as well ... maybe next year.
Completely agreed. He is currently woeful on the field, and possibly even less tolerable off it. His antics make me want to puke.
don't talk too much crap on him, he's a member of the board.
Check history, my man...it is full of celebrated men who were flat out monsters, killers, thieves, liars, etc.
Frustrating, but it is what it is...as a football player, Ray Lewis is one of the absolute best to EVER play. As a person, I have not the slightest clue...and quite frankly, I couldn't possibly care less.
And finally, no espn means no irritation for me.
I got downvoted over this?? LOL
He was a great player. Currently, he's below average.
My point of contention w Ray has nothing to do w football or his past. He craves the limelight and uses misinterpretations of his faith to drive constant media attention. As someone who is a devout Christian, I'd rather he say nothing than sensationalize and falsely present scripture and faith.
I disagree that he is below average. He is still one of the best...not thee best anymore, but still among the best. Think about what you are saying when you say below average. Think of all the NFL linebackers currently playing. To say he is below the average NFL linebacker is simply not true. He led his team in tackles in the first two playoff games they played (not sure about tonight).
As for the scripture/Christianity thing, I really don't like when athletes bring God into wins and losses. To me, it is completely ridiculous to think you have garnered some favor with God that manifests itself in wins and losses in athletic competition. Does God have some disdain for your competitor? Are you not as favored with God if you lose a game? I do agree that he is off base with his football religiosity...not as bad as the Tebow madness, but bad nonetheless. Religion, again, has been misused as much as anything by man throughout history. I tend to tune those folks out.
Just went back and checked the stats from all three ravens playoff games. Ray Lewis led not just his team, but both teams in tackles in all three games he has played in this postseason. Below average? C'mon man.
Regardless of your beef with him as a Christian, you gotta give him his deserved credit as a football player.
Yea, I don't think Ray Lewis is playing at a below average level either.
I still think he makes a significant impact in every game he plays. I think he is much better than 50% of the LB's in the league.
