why are we so happy about Morris busting on guys who decided to stay at psu but not play football. If he is going to rip people, he better hit up Redd & Brown. Those are the only 2 that any of us cared about when they transferred (Fera as well). Yet, he gives them a pass. Busting on royer for staying at psu but not playing football seems a bit childish. i think we should grow up a bit.
So let me get this straight. Morris is only allowed to call out who we want him to and not who he wants to. Because we all know what conversations went on behind closed doors between morris and the other two.
Not to mention he certainly owes us it, seeing that he chose freely to stay during the most draconian sanctions etc etc etc.
Finally, you're starting to understand.
Why are you singling out rmj when talking about racism?
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Normally you'd have a great point, but since I'm a half breed, I'm allowed to call everyone a racist.
If I'm half white, half Caucasian, who can I call a racist?
Fera's mother was suffering from a major illness, he would've transferred regardless. I (and many) would have had major issue with it if he had brought the hammer on Fera for leaving. At one point, I believe they thought she was going to pass, if I remember correctly.
As for who he makes fun of, he's messing around and having fun. This isn't some wishful revenge list for all us adults who have taken it way too far and way too personal about some of these kids decisions to leave.
Have a good laugh and move on.
Very interesting. It comes from a dynamic I was never a part of being involved in. Who knows exactly what shook out in everything behind the doors of PSU Football players/coaches. It was definitely amusing though.
I want to know what Hodges said to Fortt
@meyer 4 prez I'm glad Bill K and Alex G keeps it real with us, instead of getting our hopes up.
Am I the only one who would love to hear that Royer cracked him in the mouth on campus?
Probably called him female genitalia because he couldn't hack it here.
Too bad Royer isn't allowed in the PSU football facilities anymore.
Maybe he can take a shot at him if he's ever on the IM fields?
Yeah, maybe then he can get booted from school and lose his ship.
Yeah I'm not really getting this as all that funny. One thing to take on the NCAA or B10 leaders....but what's the point in blasting ex-teammates? Especially the one's he was blasting. That's kind of lame, IMO, because he was picking on guys who weren't big contributors and left. Pick on the guys who were supposed to be big and left. They were the one's who really bailed because they left even knowing they had starting gigs. At least other guys left knowing they may not play a lot, which is a little more justified.
I like Morris, but this seems kind of lame.
Bingo. And we still don't know why Royer left the team. It's not like he went somewhere else, he stayed here (and his scholly doesn't count toward the 65 limit btw). Just a chickenshit move on Morris' part. Gutless. And coming from a guy who only saw time because of woeful DB recruiting over the years. Just shut up.
Morris is one hell of a db. He missed only one open field tackle this year. He's earn the right to say whatever the hell he wants. Maybe you can learn from the young man and not take everything so seriously. He's just having fun and poking at ex-teammates.
He probably left the team because he didn't want to play organized football anymore.
You'd be surprised how many kids use athletics as a means to an end. Not everybody playing D-I football love, or even like, playing football. I don't have any information that people here don't have, but maybe Royer was one of those guys?
From my end, I wouldn't mind taking a full ride and not have to wake up at 5am for lifts, or go to team meetings/practices for at least another 3 hours that day. That would be exhausting. If it was football I might stick it out, but that is because I am a fanatic. If it was for a sport like baseball or hockey or hoops, a sport that I liked but I didn't love, I would absolutely take the free ride and get out of the time commitment.
I hold no ill will toward Royer at all, but I'm fine with Morris trash talking over twitter. If I quit my high school team there would be a lot of grief given, but that's part of the deal. If they didn't want to deal with the consequences, they shouldn't have left the team.
And you know this how? So in your world only athletes have earned the right to say whatever they want and the rest of us shouldn't take them too seriously and give them a break. Only thing I'll learn from Steph in this case is to teach my kids how not to behave on the world of social media.
The bold part isn't speculation? Morris was not a bad DB. He had his struggles, but he turned out to be pretty good.
I think it was worth a chuckle and all, but "one hell of a DB"? Seriously?
For a kid his size and how well he played this year, I'll go with that saying. That includes his intangibles, leadership, and mentoring the you get guys. You can't find a single underclassmen in the secondary that hasn't stated at one point that Morris took them under his wing.
The attitude, style, and fearlessness translated well onto the team. He had to step up big time this past season and he did. Yeah he got beat a couple of times, but man did that guy give his all on every play.
Still will never forget the time he ran Rainey/demps from behind a couple years ago. Kid is the definition of heart. Not saying he was the greatest db, but he is one hell of a player.
I know stephon and his family real well. A bunch of the kids I work with/worked with football wise all end up at his fathers program (Prime Xample). Even if I didn't, I have enough sense to know that it's just a college kid having some fun.
Its part of this generations way of having fun, and it's cultural to "talk trash". The kids do it all the time and they all know that it's in good fun. They dish it because they can take it, then they brag to their friends about how "they clowned" so and so.
I said he's earned the right to say whatever he wants because he's a kid who has gone through some serious and heavy times, and he can let loose now and have some fun with it.
Lighten up, life is too short to sit here and take everything so seriously. Teach your kids whatever you want, to each their own, but I hope they're allowed to joke around and have fun with their friends.
